DR Singdaw - my heartfelt condolences to your coworker.  Sometimes there are no words.

DR Ginny is right, DR SingDaw.  A parent's worst nightmare -- there are no words. Heartbreaking news.

Where did Francois go?!  I was going to ask him what he thinks of Jerry -- the French love that guy.

It is as devilishly hot as they predicted. At least I don't have to work out in this sweltering heat.

I began my afternoon of viewing by watching the remainder of MURDER SHE SAID. Always terrific entertainment, and Margaret Rutherford was truly one of a kind.

Here's a sentence I never thought I'd be saying:

DR elmore3003, I've got Babes on the brain!    :P

That's not true -- I bet you say it everyday as you think about all of us HHW babes.  ;D

The two Blu-rays came in today (at last), so I watched THE LOOKOUT first. I watched the standard definition version of this about two weeks ago. The Blu-ray version is a definite step up in quality in terms of visuals, and the uncompressed audio soundtrack is more open sounding than the standard Dolby Digital on the regular DVD.

All of the special features were the same apart from the previews on the disc. All of them were presented in high definition which made them look really outstanding. THE HOAX and THE INVISIBLE along with WILD HOGS were the three on the disc.

Tonight, I do hope to finally get to CALIFORNICATION. I'll also have today's AS THE WORLD TURNS to scan through (the gay character was in yesterday's previews, so I assume he's on today.)

Matt when you watched WILD HOGS or HOG WILD, last week or the week before, where you using a reviewer's copy?  I got in a fight the other day with my local video clerk who insisted that WILD HOGS only came out on 8/14/07.  I didn't hit her, but we are scheduled to duel at dawn.

I am not a fan of Jerry Lewis

I'm not really, either.  Although I think I did sort of enjoy "The Nutty Professor" ... maybe. ::)

I have a question which I'm hoping some DR can answer.

I found a bunch of foreign bills from when different family members have been on vacation.

I know most of them i can just bring to any foreign exchange center.

But i am wondering what i can do with certain currencies that are no longer used (for instance one bill is 50 francs). Would they still accept them at the foreign currency center. Would a bank take them? Are they now collectors items?

Any ideas would be helpful, thanks.

Sell 'em on eBay!! :D

I'm hungry.

Gridlock!

(Sorry, whenever someone says "I'm hungry" I can't help but think of that SNL skit with Dana Carvey at Ross Perot and Phil Hartman as his running mate Vice Adm. James Stockdale)

Were there YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN photos posted last night from DR GEORGE?

No. :-\ I only took a picture of the marquee, but I'm seriously thinking about just going up and getting pictures or autographs and not seeing the show.  I don't know, though.

Miss Karen - You know me too well, especially when it comes to my desk and flowers and chocolates.

Yes, well, it was that week in Paris ... so even if you don't fill the sublet with flowers and chocolates, we'll always have Paris ... *sigh*

Methinks Missie Karen has shipoopi on her mind; myself, I have Georgia on mine. . .or at least Memphis.  Hard to believe what age I had just turned when I found out that Elvis had left the building. . .
HAPPY NATAL DAY, DR VIXMOM.

Where did Francois go?!  I was going to ask him what he thinks of Jerry -- the French love that guy.

Ooooohh.... we've been there already on this site! What a cliché:" the French love Jerry"! (NOT that it is shameful to "love" him!) Ask any French person today and they won't know who Jerry Lewis is! I still don't know (myself!) why he is not that appreciated in the States; from where I am, he was a human version of Buggs Bunny and he was ... bugging! ;)
