The late night gremlins didn't do their work.  We're only on page 2?

Thank you DR Jane. My friend Peter in hospital is so much better than when I saw him at the same place this time last year.  His major issue at the moment is to make sure his attire does not clash with his yellow eyes!

Peter's home (and partner) is 4 - 5 hours drive away from Melbourne and neither of the guys knows anyone here. I'm only an hour or so away from the hospital so at least I can visit a few times a week.  I think he will be there for another three weeks.

Seedy.  I guess you'd really have to ask Jose for the truth. He knows how we live.

Peter is only 42.  I feel I should be visiting the Children's Hospital.

Peter was looking delightful today! He is certainly locked in his room etc. It's almost a hotel environment. He was able to walk across the park to where I had parked my car.  He is "weak" but not confined to bed at all.

Maybe he should listen to some bossa nova.  I now know first hand that it can put you in a mellow mood.

My friend lives in the coastal town of Portland. It was the first settlement  by Europeans on the Southern mainland.  (They came across from Tasmania)

mellow for the yellow eyes.
Quiet Nights Of Quiet Stars.
We have a total eclipse of the moon here tonight. No DR Jason - that is not a DotV reference.

Who knows what DR Jason's image editor might come up with next?!

I have not been to the reopened Top of the Rock but I was there in the 80s when it was just a viewing platform. You could take the elevator and go up to a 360 view of New York right in the middle of midtown. You didn't need a reservation and it didn't cost and arm and a leg. They closed it down for quite a while. It's now quite popular and I'm sure at some time I will get up there.

Even though you're not on anything high the view at Tower Bridge looking over the Thames is wonderful.

The same goes for the Ha'Penny Bridge (now called the Wellington Bridge) in Dublin
