I doubt hers will be flashier but probably in better taste.

 ;D ;D

Mine will be the ne plus ultra of fashion and decorum.

A woman I do not know has just contacted me about performing a Jeanette Macdonald/Nelson Eddy medley at an upcoming benefit.

Should I do it?  Will her dress be flashier than mine own?

If you're lucky, her dress will pucker under her arms.

DR Jennifer - thank you for the MiL vibes.

I just spoke to DH Richard on the phone.  The only news is that Harriet has been transferred from recovery to ICU.

Feel better, Bruce.  And break a leg or whatever will do the trick.   If you walk around on NyQuil; you'll probably succeed.   Trust me.

While I have been shaving or waiting to go to sleep, I  have actually watched a few minutes here and there of TV in my hotel.   I have seen 5 minutes each of three different episodes of "Wild Wild West," and I know this wilol be hard for some of you to believe, but each time Robert Conrad has been in his Spandex pants and tied up by someone.  Amazing.   No wonder my youth was affected!

AND i saw 5 minutes of "I Love Lucy," and again, believe it or not, it was an episode where she was trying to keep a secret from Ricky!

TV these days has nothing on this!

Hugs and good vibes to all!.

I'm off the the beach to watch the waves and all the beach has to offer.     ;)  I remembered yesterday that I have no hair on the top of my head and to buy a hat.  After walking on the beach now since the other day, it's about 2 days late, but what the heck?!    You'd think after about 5 years, I'd remember, but the that's noit the image of myself(from around 25 years ago) that i have in  my head.  Ah well!

Maybe Bob Conrad will be tied up later!

I came home to check on Callie who had been acting funny last night and this morning.   The poor thing was straining and strainging trying to poop...she was clearly in pain so I took her right to the vet.   Turns out her old problem is back. It looks like she's imacted again. Like she was 2 1/2 years ago.  So she's in the hospital so they can see if they can soften things up. Due to her malformed bone structure it took them 9 days in the hospital last time. I'm really hoping it isn't that bad now.  They were planning to sedate her and will call me later today. Poor thing.  We've done the meds twice a day every day for 2 1/2 years and it worked up until now. I'm really worried what we will have to do next.  She's only 5 years old.

Thank you, DRs Kerry and ArnoldMBrockman!

Kerry, I was just wondering this morning if you were still in LA - guess you are, if you're going to the beach.

This morning I went for a walk, and this is what I saw:

Damselfly eating breakfast

This flame skimmer posed for me.

I met Maizie and her owner at the river. Maizie had a swell time leaping through the water.

And especially for Vixmom:

Today was the first of my brownbag lunch events for nonprofits after our summer break.  When I left here yesterday, of course, there was every possibility that I would not be coming to work today.  One of my coworkers, our managers, their boss, and someone in our PR office all pitched in and it was quite evident that the event would have gone just fine without me.  Glad, for a whole bunch of reasons, I was able to be here, but it's nice to know that my colleagues are so caring.

DR DearReaderLaura - exquisite photos, as usual.  My favorite is the damselfly.
