The window guys arrived, with perfect timing, just as I was clearing the area around the last of the 4 picture windows. They are NOT thrilled that 3 of the 4 are double-paned, the old-fashioned kind set in with wood screws. We, of course, want the inside of the outer pane and the outside of the inner pane cleaned and they're having quite a time with them.
In the meantime, I decided to take down the drapes in our bedroom and put them in the dryer on "air fluff." They're so old, they probably wouldn't survive a dry-cleaning, even if I had time to have that done. Hope I don't end up having to make what Harriet would call a "flying trip" to J. C. Penney for new ones!
