There have been some positive things. We haven't really unpacked yet so the cats have been confined to the bedroom, bath and kitchen. Being in such close quarters and the bedroom really the only liveable place where work isn't going on, they have bonded and even the standoffish cat, who has never slept with us or gotten on the bed, will now sleep there with several other cats.

After the cable guy ocmes (my appointment is for 8-11 which means 5:30) we plan to let the kitties explore more of the house---the living room and dining room. There are lots of windows, so they should enjoy that!

I mis-read our schedule today - I could have slept an extra half-hour.  Oh, well.  Rainy out today.

Good morning, all!  It is indeed a rainy morning and I am thrilled to stay inside and work on "The Brain" charts.  The tiny fixes are accomplished and I'm two-thirds through the new "All About Men"  so all that's left now are the "Brain Tap," Curtain Calls, and Exit Music.  I may run out to do a few errands, but I'll be primarily homebound.

I need to hit the post office because I have no stamps; I sent out a ton of postcards for "The Brain" and I want to send a few more before Monday. I finally broke down and sent the Macbeths one, but they're still going out of my will.

DR edisaurus, it's good to see you and know you are surviving.

DR Ginny, all quiet on the Midwestern front?

Saturday morning greetings.  I was finally able to sleep past 6am, which is pretty amazing since I slept on the couch in the family room.  With no curtains in our bedroom and DH Richard in Toledo, that was my option.  I actually fell asleep watching Giada on the food channel - she was in New York City at H & H Bagels.

DR Ginny, all quiet on the Midwestern front?

Yes, DR Elmore, it is.  Today I'm going to the grocery to order some lunch trays for Monday, then pick up my mom.  She's going to help me put a couple of our windows back together and then we're going to eat clam dip and watch Michigan try to play football.  Richard will probably return from Toledo sometime during the game.

DRs Matt H. and George - Entertainment Weekly says the "Brothers & Sisters" box set Season 1 does not contain the unaired pilot w/Buckley.

I didn't say it was the unaired pilot. The box art claims a "bonus unaired episode." Not having gotten to it yet, I don't know what it is.

Good morning!

It was oh so cool this morning, and I am currently enjoying the outside air being pulled through my office and the downstairs by the attic fan. Sheer heaven!

With three TV shows on the DVR (BURN NOTICE, PSYCH, MONK) and another new episode of TORCHWOOD coming on tonight, I have plenty of TV other than BROTHERS & SISTERS to watch today.

I was up so early this morning, I started to finish episode 11 of B&S that I had started last night, but I didn't. I've been surfing the internet all morning instead.

And The Song Of The Day:  THAT OLD BLACK MAGIC

Absolutely love this song.

Yesterday, I could not get the song "Brother John" (THE SINGING NUN) out of my mind. What a great, happy song.

Thsnks to Jose, JRand57, Singdow, Ginny and anyone else haven't read yet for sending vibes to my Dad. He was only in the hospital for 2 days and now he's back home.

I'll see him the week after next when I go up to Blue Ridge to see my niece, Sophie, play Sister Amnesia in NUNSENSE!

And I'm so sorry to hear about Cillaliz's lawyer friend. It's shocking when someone is gone that quickly. And I can totally relate to your feelings regarding some of the thoughts that have crossed your mind. You are not alone--I'm sure many of us have had those sorts of thoughts.

The ad on TV did say it contains an unaired episode, but it didn't say it was the pilot

Very sorry to hear about MBarnum's friend---he sounded like a wonderful person.    I guess if you have to go, that's the way I would want to go, too. Quick and relatively painless.

The receptionist where I mainly work has been out for 2 weeks. When I was working there last week people were crying and hugging each other. It took a while to find out what was going on because they all had to take turns telling me because they kept breaking down.

The receptionist has inoperable cancer, is on feeding and fluid tubes and has a prognosis of 4-6 weeks. And she was just working with us and seemed fine. She doesn't have any family, so the folks at work were her extended faily and everyone is taking it very hard. She is going to go home and receive hospice care. It's so hard to believe...I guess I won't until I go to see her.
