Jose, thank you for the beautiful photo of NY.
We watched the food channel last night. I kept laughing at the OVERSIZED food items. Have you ever eaten one of those BIG food items where if you finish it all you get it free? I wouldn’t be surprised if you have.
We also watched most of the diner episode which was very interesting. Keith loves diners.
Thanks DR Jane - I just wish I had taken that photo. However, I do have a bunch of photos of the Reservoir taken at different times of the year. I just need to downsize them for posting. -A curse of the ever-increasing gigabytes.
As for oversized foods in general... Well... I have been to some places that "warn" me, "That's a lot of food. Are you sure you don't want to share?" Well... Joe's Inn in Richmond makes an incredible baked spaghetti. Steve and I would usually split it and be very satisfied with our meal. However, there were plenty of times when I would just finish the whole plate - and there were plenty of others who could do the same. Now, at Stella's, her baked spaghetti started off with one, one pound box of spaghetti being boiled for the single portion(!). Well, I think I finished one of those by myself. Once. Then I started taking leftovers home, and would have a few meals for the week.

Oh... The couple of times I've been to Junior's here in NYC, some of the waitresses have been shocked that I've finished a full ice cream sundae or piece of cheesecake by myself. Well... Although, they've also been shocked when two of us have shared a dessert and left the plate clean. It's all about pacing.

However, I don't think I've ever been to one of those "Finish This, Get It For Free" places before. However, I do remember finishing a "Pig's Trough" at Farrell's. -Ah, how I miss Farrell's.
And I like the "Diners, Dives and Drive-Ins" show too. Just more places to add to My List.
