THE THIRD BRAIN

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were like a gazelle with a hickey, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - you know, I've just about had it with the fershluganah cows and their errant and truant ways.

Oh, Oh -- I hope the good news regarding the fundraiser is that Donny Osmond will be performing.

I did hear from DR MusicGuy earlier tonight.  He had one of those "flight from hell" into the NYC - delayed flight, bad A/C on the plane, small kid constantly kicking the back of his seat, etc.  But he's here.  We'll be meeting for lunch tomorrow, and then he'll be making his way to The Acorn - with a stop at the Little Pie Shop.  DR Ben - He'll be calling you in the morning.

I've caught up. I didn't catch it at the hospital where I have been visiting my friend Peter (Yes again).  It takes 4 hours out my day so I am being truant from here often. Peter is going home again today - not because he is better!

Sorry DR RLP....it was indeed DR TCB who questioned what kind of anniversary my parents were celebrating....but that was yesterday, anyway.

Loved the theatre pictures, DR td.

It is late at night and I have nothing to do, since I am not doing DVD reviews for Scarlet Street.

I enjoyed ThE REAPER tonight, laughed several times.  A most attractive cast saying some funny things, and the workplace environment is full of possibilities.

That's a party just waiting to happen.

My question for ASK BK day:

When you were small....what preview convinced you that you MUST MUST MUST see the movie?

And what preview did just the opposite, convinced you that you would not attend said movie?  8)

My DH and I just had a visit from our cat sitter, who toured the new house and seemed to like it, even though only half the rooms are "done". After she left, we spent several hours arranging and rearranging the furniture in the living room. After we tried about every configuration we could think of, we found something we both liked and went from there.

I must say that it's been really fun working on this house together and making decisions together. (Except my office...I planned that on my own but DH seems to like how it turned out.)

And now, for MBarnum and Jane, my desk lamp!

I've loved reading about and seeing pictures of everyone's favorite theatre. I lost my connection before I could post my favorite local movie palace, but it's The Fox, and yes, Music Guy has of course played there, in a sparkly jacket!

Here's a picture from the premiere of a film I edited, and collaborated with Van Dyke Parks, my hero. He came to Atlanta for the premiere and we spent several days hanging out with him and his lovely wife. One of the highlights of my life!

The theatre was sold out with a crowd of 4500. Pretty neat for a little indie film!

"The Third Brain" reminds me of that OUTER LIMITS episode, THE SIXTH FINGER.

I would have thought our DR Edisaurus would have posted something like this photo of the Loew's Grand Theater in Atlanta:

That photo was, of course, taken as Loew's Grand was being prepared for the world premiere of "Gone With the Wind" in December 1939.
