I'm trying to remember how long it takes to drive to Prescott from Phoenix.

Sleep well.

The salmon wasn't an option on my plane.  They have a limited number of meals and if they run out they run out. They do apologize about that in advance.

There you go Jeanne, best to travel with your own food whenever possible. ;D  I don't think there was anything else on the menu I could eat.

Yes, and I've been doing this for about three years now. I swear it clones itself.

;D I know what you mean.

I guess I'll just have to take my personal chef along in the future. He's cute, but he wants sooo much attention! sigh.

NOrthworst provides very little on its flights from Fargo, not even coffee!

an outrage for what they charge!

DR elmore - I'm sorry for misleading you with my post about heading to the Plaza this afternoon.  It was purely a musing.  However, I was considering going there tonight for the actual event, but...

In any case, I'm glad to know things went well - and thanks for thinking about me.

DR Ginny - Ah, so you did mention El Centro in your message.  Well... Maybe I can suggest another place sometime later this week for lunch or dinner.

We were referring to the raise in your Levain sales commission, I believe.

And we had a great time at both Starfighter and The Brain.  I'm so glad I went to see both of them.

The girls were a little hesitant when I walked in but have finally warmed up to me. Boo is on my lap and Callie is curled up sleeping. Time for bed before getting back into the swing of it

In the meantime...

I ended up attending the closing performance of another NYMF show, The Yellow Wood.  And it too was at The Acorn Theatre.  *And from what I could tell, the one lighting instrument was still out this afternoon.  :-\  In any case...

What a truly interesting show - and I mean that in the best possible sense.  It centers on a teenage boy with ADD who's having all sorts of identity issues.  Although, I felt some of the songs tended to go on a bit too long at times, there were some truly beautiful passages throughout, along with some wonderful lyrics.  The one phrase that sticks in my head right now is:

I'd rather be a door than a window.

A couple of ACL alumni were starring in it - Jason Tam and Yuka Takara - which was my main reason for wanting to see the show.  Additionally, the totally amazing Randy Blair from DR elmore's beloved Tragic Life of the Singing Nun was also featured.  And, of course, the show was directed by B.D. Wong who recently starred in Skip Kennon's Herringbone up at Williamstown this past summer.

Hmm... So, the question is: Do I request to be paid in cash or in cookies?  ;)

Well, cash is easier to take to the bank...It's difficult to imagine anyone NOT accepting Levain cookies for payment.
