He didn't deny you three times, did he?

No, but then his name isn't Peter.

RLP, your advice is, of course, excellent.  I cannot take it, alas, because I have to attend a rehearsal tonight with Alet and Andy Taylor - can't reschedule it.  And, Cason is coming over any minute to deal with fundraiser issues, and then we have a production meeting that will last right up until rehearsal.  After rehearsal, I'll try to breathe.

I have felt this drowning feeling since returning home from NY and one horrid thing after another to deal with, not just with the fundraiser.  I rarely feel like I'm drowning, but boy do I feel it now.

Do you have any time this weekend when you can just chuck it all for even a few hours?

George- ;D

I'm not sure how I feel about the "Early Years".  Isn't that what the TV show was?

I thought they were going to make a movie version of Enterprise.

I thought that it was going to be when Kirk, Spock and the gang were at the Academy, before the events of the original series.

And here, "chuck it" is definitely a euphemism.

Bruce, I'm really not surprised.  NY was exhausting & you haven't had time to rest and recharge.  Now, to loose a friend....

Just remember, this feeling will pass-it always does.

I did have a nice brunch with Lauren Rubin.  I also have a situation with two people in the fundraiser, both of whom want to do the same song.  I have to give it to the first one who claimed it, but I'm afraid I'll lose the other person over it - maybe not.  I'll call the person tomorrow and lay the cards on the table.  I'd hoped to get person one to do something else, but he knows the song in question, has done it before, and that's that.  Person two also knows the song and has done it, but I have to be fair.  I called person two today and suggested another song I thought would be perfect, but person two didn't like the song.  It also occurs to me I have nothing in the show from Pocahontas, which I now have to rectify.

BK, would it be possible (or even appropriate) to suggest that they do a duet??

I wrote about Richard on his board - can't really remember how or where we met, but I think he found me.  Once we met, we became fast friends, and I say he and Tom frequently on my NY sojourns, and on their visits to LA.  Richard introduced me to the wonderful Kasey Rogers (aka Laura Elliot, aka Mrs. Guy Haines), and we also all dined whenever Richard was in LA.

He was supposed to come to opening night of The Brain - I'd arranged his tickets, but he was too ill.  But, he's now in a pain-free place, probably hob-nobbing with all his heroes.

In the "I blame Jose" category, DR Jose, what did you do yesterday morning to provoke Josh Drimmer to run around Times Square stark naked?  The man was rounded up by the police and carted off to Belleview.

Yes, "Poltergeist" is a classic filled with so amny marvelous moments.   The horror effects are nothing compared to the great suspense and humor throughout the whole movie.

What a fun and funny night I had at the circus!!  I went early to the preshow where you could talk to the performers, get autographs, walk around the ring, kids could try a little trapeze etc...so I saw Jon the Host aka known as Jon from the clown team on TAR season 4.  So as he was signing my program I said "You looked a lot taller on TV" he said "Oh, did you see me on last night" I said "No, I was talking about the Amazing Race, I was cheering for you." He said "We ALMOST had that million!

He asked where I was sitting and when I told him I was in the very front row he told me to get his attention when he came out for the show. So, as he entered, I smiled and he pointed at me and waived.  I didn't think much more of it.

So intermission came along and I just stayed at my seat and watched them put up the net for the trapeze act.  All of a sudden here came Jon with an autographed photo in hand.  He said Al signed it before he left New York. He also posed for this.

He was great fun as the "host"  and yes, we are standing at my seat and that is the ring on the right of the photo.

I began my evening watching one more episode of NCIS. Not bad but not great. I have a feeling all of the episodes are going to fall in that midpoint between great and awful. The ensemble does play off one another superbly.

I also watched the first special feature in the set. They called it a Roundtable Discussion, but it was the cast at a restaurant in LA answering questions sent in by fans. There was more kidding around rather than taking most of the questions seriously, but it was an OK feature.

Next, I watched MY NAME IS EARL from last night. Not the funniest it's ever been, but it was fun to see how Earl got his house and truck and also get some backstory about the other primary characters on the show.

30 ROCK had a funny episode with Will Arnet vying with Alec Baldwin for the Presidency of GE, and fun stuff from the other regulars, particularly Kenneth the page and Tracy's wife (played by Sherri Shepherd).
