REVIEWING THE SITUATION
« on: October 13, 2007, 12:26:14 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, you've reviewed the notes and the situation, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - is anyone beginning to feel that the fershluganah cows are NEVER coming home?

I'm at the sandman's door, but it does qualify as late-night, I suppose.

I think I got a vaccination against Diplopia once...possibly when I was a lad.

Perhaps the cyclops with diplopia should not be feared.

My pillow is beckoning (figuratively, thank goodness!).

It's time to put these weary bones into a position of repose.

TOTD:
IMHO many of Mr Kings books could do with some serious editing!

My favourite is "Four Seasons" (I think that was the title).

From that book came the films "Stand By Me", "Apt Pupil" and "Shawshank Redemption".

I like the films of "Hearts in Atlantis", "Shawshank.." and "Stand By Me".

For me Mr King's Books are "airport reading". IMHO he does not have the literary talent of Clive Barker.

Topic of the Day:

Stephen King books (in no particular order):  Misery, It (the original version...I never read the updated edition), The Shining, The Dark Half, Dolores Claiborne, Gerald's Game, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon (I have the pop-up edition ;)), The Green Mile, Needful Things and Thinner

I'll have to think about the movies later.

TOD:  Other than seeing The Shawshank Redemption eons ago, which I think I liked, I have no experience with Mr. King.  Except for his book reviews of Harrry Potter.  I know; I'm a heathen.

DR JRand57, very sorry to hear about your car troubles.  Glad you got to the rehearsal, and hoping you have a fabulous time at the wedding.

I had the strangest dream last night.  There was an after-hours HHW gathering in DR Cillaliz's basement rumpus room.  I know DR Miss Karen was there, but the rest is rather hazy.

I just work up from a dream--I was in some sort of musical review, and somehow was assigned the big showstopping number (kind of like, "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going..." some song that was originally belted out by a big African American woman who could really sing!). Not only had I never heard of this song, but I didn't even have a copy of it and couldn't borrow the musical director's because he was performing with it for the rest of the show. But I felt like I couldn't just leave the number out because it would disappoint everyone (even thought they would have been more disappointed to hear me sing!)

So, I wonder if this is the new version of the dream where you have to take the final for a class you never went to in a  subject you never studied?

I have been hanging out at HHW too long!

I'm really glad Cilla decided not to use a shotgun to get the kleenex box off of her kitty's head!

A fun thing to do with empty Kleenex boxes is to put a pingpong ball in there. A cat will amused him/herself for hours and it's fun to watch.
