Whew!  Late night last night at Campagnola [74th & 1st].  The evening was delightful, for a business function.  The food was excellent, if a bit pricey.  I had spinach ravioli bolognese, and it was heaven on a plate.

To start your day off right:

Miss Annette Funicello singing "Promise Me Anything" from Beach Party, on some television show that I can't identify.  The background vocals are different from the album recording and the soundtrack....

Lovely dress and hair....DR CILLA LIZ you should wear this to the office!  ;D

Good morning, all!  I slept very badly - too much emotional baggage at the moment and not the wonderful dinner with our DR Jose - and I seriously considered not gettng out of bed at all today.   Now that I'm up and about, I'm feeling quite chipper and I'll spend the day finishing the chart for David Burnham.

DR Jose, Bobby lives just around the corner; I usually see him on 83rd or Amsterdam.  I've known him around 15 years now; when I first met him at The Drama Book Shop, he and the Lumet lady were living in New Jersey, as I recall.  I just realized I also know one of Lumet's grandsons who's now living in Seattle!

DR Ginny, don't forget the phone book!

BK, the batteries went dead and the person with the tape was so enchanted by what he was watching that he wasn't keeping an eye on matters.  Actually, there are two pieces missing that I regret.  My words to him when given the disc were "I told you you should have come earlier in the run!"  The irony is that he loved it so much that he now wishes he had.

Good morning, Ben.  And a good morning world to all seven guests lurking about!

BK, if you aren't feeling 100% yet (translation: plucky, not yucky), you should delay getting your flu shot.

Concur! People often complain that they feel like they have the flu after getting the shot. Best to wait until you're feeling better and stronger.

Hmmm...my foot is doing a bit better now, but three hours ago, I could hardly walk on it without a cane.  A repeat of yesterday's pattern.

Might be time to see a doctor, if I can actually make it to a doctor's office without extreme pain.  A kvetch-22.

Problem is if I go in during the times of day when I'm in less pain, they won't see the seriousness of it.  They'll probbaly say:  "Oh, You're walking fine!"

It's overcast today, but otherwise, it's a cool morning which will be followed by a warm afternoon - again near 80.
