DR elmore - Do you want to take a short lunch break in about 15-20 minutes?

However, if it's falafel or hummus, you can dine alone.

LOL!

Well, we can just hop over to Artie's, or even Edgar's Cafe.  Or The Hampton Bay Chutney Company, etc., etc., etc...

The synagogues are letting out about now and families are heading for lunch.  On Saturdays, lunch at Artie's is impossible: baby stroller hell.

Gotcha.  Well, I'll just hop on the train in a few, and I'll see a bit after that.

Cafe Edgar sounds good, and I'd love to try the Hampton Bay Chutney Company.

P.S. It wasn't The Brain and Yoni; the Y is next to the T and my yyping is payheyic.

My lunch today is interesting.  I stopped last night at Dorothy Lane Market and, from the deli, purchased a portion of Cranberry Tuna Salad, which I brought for my lunch today.  Cranberries and tuna are an unusual flavor combo, and it's a little dry.  You'd think for $10.99/pound they could use enough mayo to make this stuff stick to a Triscuit.

All in all, I'd rather go to lunch with DRs Jose and Elmore.

I never was able to buy into the Cars concept.  I mean, it was about a world where the cars themselves were the people, and they watched the races in these fantastic stadiums, and filmed them on cameras so the races could be projected on these enormous screens, and they lived in these cute car-friendly motels and everything...

HOW THE FREAKING BUNNIES WERE ALL THESE THINGS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN BUILT???

CARS DON'T HAVE HANDS!!!

The whole thing just didn't make much sense.

At least with Happy Feet, the penguins weren't supposed to have built things they logically could not have built.  (And it was a cute story, too.)

Then get your buttcheeks on a plane!

I'm planning my Ohio return around Nov 15, since that is the day the estate taxes are due.

DR Ginny, what was the name of that company making that wonderful cherry topping?

Robert Rothschild Farm

Was it the Cherry Almond Gourmet Sauce that you liked so much?

If you're in town on November 13, you could help us celebrate DH Richard's birthday!

I rarely eat fast food anymore but I do remember Arby's back when they used real roast beast. There was a big ole honkin' piece of meat on a spit in the back of the restaurant and they would carve that off for sandwiches. That's a long ago memory. Chipolte is good for (too) large Mexican delights. There are no Dairy Queens in Manhattan (that I know of) but I used to like going there as a child.

Oh, honey, there are lots of dairy queens in Manhattan.

Hmm...  I just checked the weather forecast for the coming week, I had no idea that we're in for another warming trend over the next couple of days.  Looks like good running/Reservoir weather.  ;)

. . .and DR FJL, I adore you more for having said that!
Both "Will the Sun Ever Shine Again" and "Little Patch of Heaven" have been in my repertoire since the film's release, the latter has actually been in two of my cabarets. . .
AND, that Tim McGraw song over the final credits, ain't exactly chopped liver.

Neither is Tim!

This new Offenbach album is enchanting.  What a funny composer!

Yes, I have always enjoyed his standup.

Here we are; here I am unscathed (well relatively ---from being with my family and which always brings out the quote -- in my head anyway in regards to  my family-- that Elaine Srtich uses of John Barrymore's regrarding the theatre) ".... and all the charming people in it."
