The only time I have had trouble with my vcr/DVD combo is when I have dubbed one of my old tapes from the older vcr to the combo. It sometimes does not want to play nice.

I ocaissionally have some trouble with combo but I suspecting that might be in part with the television. The telly and older vcr were purchased in 1989.

Well, I'm off to my parents' house.  My cousin John and his wife Angel, who live in Oregon, are visiting because he'se up in this are for his job (I don't know what he does).  They leave tomorrow, so tonight is the only time that I'll get to see them.  Have a good evening, all!

Today I picked my candidate.  I've been leaning toward Richardson all along, but today I put his bumper sticker on my car.   I have some concerns about his viability in my precinct (you have to have the support of 15% of the people in attendance or you don't get a precinct delegate) but he's going to be my first choice.

I also got invited to a house party to meet Richardson's wife on Sunday. I haven't seen much of her at all, so I'm really interested in seeing what she is like.   The candidates are thick around here this weekend, but it's mostly the big crowds and I'm not into that. Since I have to pick a second choice in the event Richardson isn't viable, I'll still be looking and listening

There is an event Sunday night. It's $10, but Biden, Dodd, Richardson, Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama and someone from Edwards campaign will be there.   I've been considering it, but it's really too many candidates in one place to get much out of it.  It's in a rural area and will be great for the people there who don't get all the candidates passing through.  Although this year is a bit of an exception.  I'm hearing about events in tiny towns around here.  It's quite amusing.

My parents have decided to come and visit tomorrow.  I'm glad. The weather will be pretty decent for them to travel and it will be fun to shop the sales with my mom.  They haven't seen my new office yet and my dad, especially, is anxious to see it.

I was concerned about Callie over the past few days because she hasn't left me any other surprises.  So I took her in to be checked today and found out.....she's not full of poop!   What a sweet thing to hear.  I can relax a little

Friday evening greetings!  Oh, my, it's been a long day.

Today was Dayton Metro Library's 21st annual Staff Day.  The entire system was closed and several hundred of us spent the day at Hope Hotel and Conference Center, which is adjacent to Wright Patterson Air Force Base.  We had some good educational sessions, recognition of employment milestones (I got my 10-year gift - a fine silver necklace and bracelet), a hokey motivational humorist, etc.

The highlight of the day was the after-lunch debut, in the parking lot, of DMLition, our book cart drill team.  They were wonderful and I hope there's a YouTube to share with you soon.

Boy, the mails must be slow.  They were all mailed on Wednesday, first class, and that usually doesn't take more than a couple of days.

I'm back from shooting with Zach Wechter and family.  It was fun.  And I even learned my two speeches by heart.  The whole Wechter clan was in the film, as was Zach's teacher, my old pal Allan Hunt.

TOD - When I pulled into the garage at the end of the day, I was on the last track of the last CD of the last book in Jan Karon's Mitford series.  I will probably finish it tomorrow morning on my way to the hairdresser's for a perm - I don't want it to end!

DVD - Richard and I just watched Disc 1 of what appears to have been a documentary TV series about Windsor Castle.  We enjoyed it very much and I told him if Netflix has a Disc 2, we should request it.

I have already mentioned you.  I was answered with stunned silence.  What have you done in Seattle that I don't know about?  ;)
