Speaking of, on one of the wealthiest streets in Atlanta, a lady was raking up huge piles of leaves at the street. Great, I thought! Good for her, not using a leaf blower.
Then she started stuffing them all into the storm drain. Half a block away from where the creek does major flood damage in any rain event. So I had to stop and mention to her that this was not a good thing to do, and she, of course, played dumb. She stopped what she was doing, turned her back on me and walked away, even though I was being very polite.
On my way back from brunch with Mom, the leaves miraculously disappeared, even though there were no leaf bags out in front.
Hmmm...where oh where could they have gone? I wonder...
