Excellent casting choices!  I, too, think I would make a fine Kim McAfee.

I know I'd pay big bucks to watch you sing "How Lovely to be a Woman."   ;)

Either she is still bruised from surgery, or that photo has been touched up in an unflattering way.

From the UK's "Daily Mirror", there may be "just a tad" of touch-up to sensationalize the story.

They ran another photo....less severe-looking...but not terribly flattering, either.

Fox News ran this photo recently showing Van Ark at a recent Hollywood "do" along with a story that she appeared to be using a lot of makeup to cover a bad cosmetic surgery job:

Good Morning!  Good Afternoon!

I'm up, I'm up... And I guess I had sort of a lazy morning.  When I got up around 8:00, I decided to do some reading.  Well, more like recipe-browsing from the recent issue of Gourmet.  Then I started finishing up some articles in other magazines (New York, Time Out New York, etc.) that I had ear-marked earlier in the week.  -Most of these I had started reading on the subway, but never had a long enough commute to finish them.  Then I dozed off for about another hour, then once I got back up, I took care of my morning ablutions at my leisure.

:)

Well, considering the first audition song I ever sang was "I Enjoy Being  A Girl", I guess it's all come full circle now.  ;D

re: the question about SOAP OPERAS and what is currently on the air.

They are currently still airing new shows, (i believe ones that were already written).

I think they will stay on the air and use whoever is still there and working to write the shows.

I would be curious if anyone knew if they were going to use scab writers or have people like the exec producers write.

Soap opera fans needn't get in a lather about the Writers Guild strike, which commenced this week. All of the soaps have enough material to go through January of next year. After that? Most likely others folks will be taking over the writing tasks, just as they did in the strike 20 years ago that lasted over 22 weeks.
