I began my evening of entertainment by watching the two part season ending episodes of LOST.

I'm sure I got the same thrill watching this in Blu-ray that DR Ron Pulliam got watching HEROES in HD some months ago. The sharpness and dimensionality are so breathtaking, and LOST has the added attraction of all that Hawaiian location photography so the greens and blues are blinding.

Next I watched the bonus features on LOST. The Blu-ray contains two features not on the standard definition release of LOST.

The most important is called ACCESS: GRANTED which is a series of twenty questions about the mysteries of LOST with comments from the two executive producers along with additional comments from four LOST panelists. This does sort out known information about the conundrums of the show but also sets out secrets that are yet to be told and mysteries that have yet to be solved.

I wonder if any of those "HUGE" DVDs happen to be Bollywood films?  ;D

The other exclusive Blu-ray feature was called BLU-PRINTS which was five featurettes on sets that were created for this season's shows including Ben's house, the Hydra and Looking Glass Stations. Interesting tours of each of the five sites mentioned.

All of the bonus features either new to Blu-ray or ported over from the sDVD were in high definition, too, an added bonus.

Finally back from a very long day - saw two movies, Enchanted and The Walker, about which more later.  Must eat now, then I'll be back.

I concluded my evening with HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX on Blu-ray. Looked stupendous, of course, but it's such a dark film and so much of it is a bit demoralizing that I suspect I won't be watching this one as frequently as I have the other four. CHAMBER OF SECRETS and GOBLET OF FIRE are most definitely my two favorites.

They certainly did cast this new one well for the new characters.

Hmm... Here's a question I've always wondered about... Or something like that...

I know my chronology may be out of whack, but... Any thoughts if Vera-Ellen had played Kathy Selden in "Singing In The Rain"?

Loved Rosemary Clooney's joke on the commentary about her W I D E backside and the diamond clip.

Today I flew to Pomona and back for a meeting, and this is what I saw:

Look! Snow! The airport curb was as close as I got to it.

Look! Autumn Leaves!!

Of course!

I didn't dare take a photo of the police officer with the rifle drawn or the police dog on a leash.

Oh yeah, I sing now in the Saint Augustine classic choir in Culver City. I'm not religious, but I miss being in a choir & one of my best friends directs this one.

And if you all are inclined to send thoughts, prayers, vibes, etc., the woman who sat beside me on the plane to California was going over because her 13-year-old grandson accidentally shot a BB into her 6-year-old son's eye. He may lose his eye.

Danise, I hope that dog comes back. If you can feed him a bit more and get him healthy the Humane Society will find him a very good home, I am sure.
