Thanks, DR Edi!  We had a couple of setbacks this year.

Sounds like the "boys" are all grown up, now!  LOL!

DR Michael.  Susan Sackett's book "Hollywood Sings' will give you virtually everything you need to know about the oscar nominated songs.(it goes up to 1993).

Thanks for the heads up.

I still wouldn't mind having the recordings. ;-)

Edi, how do I find the "hidden track" in the DVD?

You just let it play until it goes back to the main menu...

DR Edi will no doubt be pleased to know that I do have Mr Coleman and the Atlanta Pops "Hooked on Country" (single).

(of course that's no doubt not really surprising)

No way!!!!!!!

OK...that's just too scary. I don't even have that!

I had the album, but it's pretty beat up. That sound clip must have been taken from vinyl because you can hear the pops of the Pops. The agent advertises the CD on their website---I wonder if they just transferred the whole album?

Tomovoz, the depth of your music libray never ceases to astound me!

Was Conductor Coleman responsible for ALL the Hooked On.... LP's?

No, he was just latching onto a craze. But good for him to be able to keep up with current pop music when he was in his '70's!

OK, so I'm back from the mix.

After only having one brief meeting with this composer to spot the film, it was a little nerve-wracking going into this without even any demos, just arriving at the mix with the music files delivered to the mixer.

BUT, I have to say, he did an unbelievably fantastic job. I couldn't be happier! Everything was perfect for the film, the music ducked when it needed to---we really didn't have to do a whole lot to even adjust the levels.

There were a lot of different feels required here: comical, serious, epic, poignant and this guy hit them all and the music flowed seamlessly and the themes were beautiful.

I am so happy and relieved!!!

Yes, but neither of them likes to have tradition messed with.  You should have heard the reaction the year I suggested pork roast for Christmas dinner.

DR’s George, Ginny, Jennifer, feel better vibes.

Thanks!  I'm at home (I called in sick) and I feel better than yesterday, but my voice doesn't sound better.  I'll be fine enough by tomorrow to go to work...I'm not missing our annual holiday potluck!  And Barbara (the selector of juvenile material) is retiring, so she preferred to have her retirement party combined with the holiday party.  I just need to think of something to bring for the potluck.  We're also having a gift exchange, so I should get something for that, although there are several people who don't participate in that, so I don't have to.  We'll see.

DR Miss Karen - Congrats on getting your Fifth and Final Paper turned in for the semester!

-And I'm guessing you switched over to the pine-scented homegrown and organic stuff?  ;D
