To score my life, why, Stephen Sondheim, of course.

Very nice.  ;D

I will definitely be finishing THE TUDORS today. I'm so disapppointed in the transfers. The close-ups are fine, but everything else is a tad soft with poor contrast. They just don't look anywhere near as good as they did on Showtime-HD.

Now, some DVD transfers like LOST, CSI: NY, BONES, and MEDIUM look very close to HD on their sDVD transfers, so I don't know what went wrong here.

DR FJL and SKIP would of course score the stage version of the film of my life!

Again, nothing on TV for me tonight, so after I finish THE TUDORS, I'll have to decide between one of the DVDs I got for Christmas or one of the Blu-rays. A tough decision as I want to see them all and just can't select one at the moment.

I'm also trying to figure out what kind of desk calendar to get for downstairs. My friend Hal gave me a WIZARD OF OZ daily calendar for upstairs (which you'll be getting clips from in the coming year after I've exhausted the Harry Potter clips), but I'm not sure what I'll have for downstairs. I had a Peanuts calendar for 2007, but I think I'll look for something else this year.

Jrand - We're already working on it.  The theme song, "Very Fond of Uranus," is a sure-fire Oscar winner.

You're right about that! Fits right in with the last few winners.

Well, here's a tip. Don't try to nap 2 hours before you want to leave for a midnight movie. *oops* ::)

Sunday:
Manhattan Beach to Culver City & back - about 30 miles.

Monday:
Manhattan Beach to Studio City - about 30 miles
Studio City to Culver City - about 20 miles
Culver City to Manhattan Beach - about 15 miles

Tuesday
Manhattan Beach to Culver City & back - about 30 miles
Manhattan Beach to Apple Valley & back - about 225 miles

Total estimated mileage for the Holiday: about 350 miles

That Apple Valley bit was thrown in at me last minute. Dad will be at his sister's there & everyone wants me to come visit. At the risk of sounding like the broke student I am, I hope they pitch in for gas.

1 3/4 days until Christmas.

With all the parties and gift giving I participated in this week, I keep thinking that Christmas is over, and it isn't even here yet!

I have to say that I'm looking forward to two blessed days of easy going pleasure today and tomorrow. I can bum around in old clothes and not shave and just do the usual chores without worrying about getting ready for a party or buying gifts or anything.

That's what sledgehammers are for.

I'm off as well to do some tidying up, get laundry ready for the usual Sunday washing and drying, and then scratch around for something to eat for lunch.

Has anyone yet pointed out the fact that the 12 days of Christmas begin on Dec 25 and end on Epiphany, Jan 6?  We are soooooo early.
