DR Elmore: The thought crossed my mind, but I can't stop the momentum! P.S. BK is counting UP and I'm counting DOWN.

Well. either way, it's a morass of misinformation.  That reminds me of my favorite line from ENCHANTED: "Is rodent rage on the rise?"

Jrand - We're already working on it.  The theme song, "Very Fond of Uranus," is a sure-fire Oscar winner.

ROTFLOL!

 ;D  ;D  ;D

HHW now has its own DVD; shouldn't it have a theme song as well??

And, hello!

Has anyone seen the British mini-series JONATHAN CREEK? I saw the first episode last night and found it quirky and fun.

it's a morass of misinformation

This is why it drives me crazy to see Christmas trees on the curb to be disposed of on December 26th.  The commercialism has turned everything topsy-turvy.  And people don't get it.

Ah, well.

The Trouble With Commas Department:

Quote
... the Council of Nicaea.. opted to mark Christmas, then celebrated at varying dates, on Dec. 25 to coincide with the Roman festival celebrating the birth of the sun god, Andrea Carandini, a professor of archaeology at Rome's La Sapienza University, told reporters Friday.

So, the sun god's name is Andrea?

It's obviously a lazy Sunday around these here parts.  You'd think it was two days before Christmas.

ART FOR BK

A rather frightening inflatable vagina, made for theater production, the monster was blown up on the stage and burst out of a cupboard, to devour the main character.

I do think that DR FJL will inspire me to do more of the same. I did SO MUCH tossing for so long that I thought I'd SCREAM if I had to look at another box of stuff. But I really do want to get rid of more. It piles up sooo quickly.

Thank you, Fred. I need some inspiration!

We had a good soaking rain earlier this afternoon, but it's cleared up now and is really quite beautiful out. I see lots of people out walking.

And what's a posting day without torturing Jane:

Ectoplasmosis - objects in meat

Quote
Being a carnivore can be difficult when, like me, your significant other is a member of that reprehensible subspecies of mankind known as “vegetarian”. Many nights have I spent mournfully choking down a plate of soy excrement, trying desperately to recall the inhuman sins I had surely committed in a previous life to warrant such punishment.

My delight, then, at the sculptures of Simone Racheli is understandable. I have visions of my other reaching, her eyes half full of sleep not yet dispelled by her scalding shower, for her hair dryer. Little by little, as its steady drone begins to pull her from her morning reverie, she notices that its hum is decidedly more moist than she recalls; its case, usually comfortable and familiar in her grip, feels slick and alien to her now.

(Oh, there is more to read!)

Sunday afternoon greetings!  Oh, my, it's been a busy day already.  Four of us took three cars to Cincinnati for church - I stopped on my way at my mom's to drop off some Christmas shopping I'd done for her and to have "second breakfast" with her and my sister and brother-in-law.  After church, Richard, Rob, Mary Linda, and I went out for brunch and then in 3 different directions.  Richard went back to church to prepare for the Lessons & Carols service that started 10 minutes ago, Rob and Mary Linda did some last-minute Christmas shopping, and I picked up our Honey Baked ham for tomorrow.  Rob & ML are back at church now with Richard and I'm home, getting ready to go back out to the grocery.  I told them they could be Mary this afternoon, but someone has to be Martha (Luke 10:38-39).
