White Pages has me listed at the business address of DVD Talk here in Portland.  That is truly and utterly weird.

Well, I believe I'm going to head to bed now too.  I woke up with a slight case of the sniffles, and it's turned into more-than-a-slight-case of the sniffles.  *Although, I do have to wonder if all the coughing and sneezing and nose-blowing at church this morning may have contributed to my present state... especially when it came time for the Sign of Peace: Peace be with you <hand shake> <pass on the germs>, Peace be with you <hand shake> <pass on the germs>, Peace be with you <hand shake> <pass on the germs>, etc., etc., etc.  In any case, I am sleepy, so...

Goodnight.

Jon Creek - fun shows. But not after Caroline Quentin left the show.

I've only watched the first two episodes. I love his vocation, that he creates the illusions. I love the windmill house. I love quirky houses.

Didn't know CQ left. Yes, it would be quite different without her.

Interesting how "sort and toss" can be sung to the tune of Legally Blonde's "Bend and Snap."

Maybe we can do a combo exercise move and house de-clutterer and market it as the "Sort and Toss."

Then there's that culling song that Ginny told us about, the one that's sung to the RAWHIDE theme.

I remember when the Navy had "Stewards".

I remember when the rating was opened up to permit caucasians (unfortunately the only takers were mountainboys who had been enlisted with a special IQ dispensation).

I remember helping one of the lads - his "mental problems" were on the mend once I discovered his big secret - he could not read!

Been a stressful few days. I opened presents tonight with my immediate family and it was bitter sweet. Since my entire family's birthdays are all in December we also celebrated our birthdays.

My father was greatly missed today but it was still a pleasant day. I did get a couple of nice things and can retire the old dvd player that is having issues with higher quality DVDs.  My mother is holding her own but is having a rough time.

However tomorrow will be the big test. Her family has been the most part supportive with the exception of one sister who I will call Aunt Parasite. I am not far from decking her. She thinks she can dictate what my mother can do and walks right into the house. Presumptious in my opinion.  She is a miserable person to be around and feels others have to be miserable with her.

And it turns out the start of the Vietman War was the reason my Dad received his U.S. Citizenship... Since any foreign nationals serving in the Armed Forces were granted citizenship in order to serve.  -I still need to research which Act of Congress/Law that was.

Immigration and Nationality Act TITLE III

Quote
NATURALIZATION THROUGH ACTIVE-DUTY SERVICE IN THE ARMED FORCES DURING WORLD WAR I, WORLD WAR II, THE KOREAN HOSTILITIES, THE VIETNAM HOSTILITIES, OR IN OTHER PERIODS OF MILITARY HOSTILITIES

SEC. 329. [8 U.S.C. 1440]

(a) Any person who, while an alien or a noncitizen national of the United States, has served honorably in an active-duty status in the military, air, or naval forces of the United States during either World War I or during a period beginning September 1, 1939, and ending December 31, 1946, or during a period beginning June 25, 1950, and ending July 1, 1955, or during a period beginning February 28, 1961, and ending on a date designated by the President by Executive order as the date of termination of the Vietnam hostilities, or thereafter during any other period which the President by Executive order shall designate as a period in which Armed Forces of the United States are or were engaged in military operations involving armed conflict with a hostile foreign force, and who, if separated from such service, was separated under honorable conditions, may be naturalized as provided in this section if (1) at the time of enlistment or induction such person shall have been in the United States, the Canal Zone, America Samoa, or Swains Island, whether or not he has been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence, or (2) at any time subsequent to enlistment or induction such person shall have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence.

Today, I did nothing but watch TV...that's pretty much it.  I watched four episodes of "Bionic Woman" and several other shows.  I didn't leave my house at all.  Tomorrow, the family is going to my parents' house for gift giving and receiving.  I still have to wrap what I've got to give.  It shouldn't take much time, though. :)
