I already described last night what I did for Christmas Eve (Blu-rayed it all evening). When I get back from SWEENEY, I'll likely watch something Christmas-y, maybe THE BELLS OF ST. MARYS. I'm not sure what time I'd be expected over at John's if indeed we're having dinner. It was pretty much contingent on a third party who was undecided about coming. We'll see.

Man, oh, man, the sauce's usual kick was kickier than usual and here I sit, six in the morning, no Tums, no nothing but a giant fist trying to rip out my heart.

Other than that, I'm fine.  Tired, of course, but fine.

Can we say HEARTBURN?

Can we say PEPCID?  or PEPCID AC?

Or in some cases, can we say PRILOSEC?

I don't have a ready cure for you, bk. So sorry. I couldn't think of not having a large bottle of Rolaids here at all times (have one in the car, too).

I always have Tums, but I've never replenished from the last batch I finished.

God morning, all! And Merry Christmas, dear readers! I hope that 2008 is good to all of you.

I've had a quiet morning puttering about the apartment, and around 11, I'll take my shopping bag of gifts over to the Raines residence and spend the early afternoon qwith them and my beloved Charlotte.  After that, I will take myself to West 43rd Street fora wonderful social event and what I'm certain will be a glorious dinner with DR FJL, Skip, and guests.

DR Jose, I think Toby is one of the best things about SWEENEY TODD, and I too have no idea of the exchange between Anthony and the Judge.  The theatre on the Upper West Side was about three-quarters filled, and the audience responded with laughs at all the funny and grotesque moments and was amazingly quiet and attentive during the rest.  At the end, lots of applause.

I have Christmas-y things to accomplish before my socializing begins. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Hello to all of HHW and all DRs and DFs.

I thought I'd pop in and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a joyful holiday season!  I hope you all have a wonderful day today with friends and family, and lots of joy throughout the week, as we count down toward the new year.

I've actually been very sick for several weeks with a bad respiratory virus, and was basically not doing very much.  I pulled myself together for a couple of pre-scheduled outings over that time, which were wonderful, but mostly, was just laying low, trying to feel better.

And I am feeling better now, though not 100 percent.  So that's good!

Hope you are all healthy and doing well and filled with cheer.

Today, I am very happy to be invited to dear friends' Fred and Skip to share in their wonderful holiday tradition.  And I think I will see the wonderful DR elmore there as well.  So it's a great day ahead.

Happy Holidays everyone.

Toby and Dylan seem to know it's Christmas and are looking forward to opening presents.

Actually, Toby knows how to open a present, but Dylan never acquired that skill, so we have to help him.  But both of them enjoy what's inside the wrappings.

Julie, we'd rather have 80 percent of you, or any percent of you, than all of (just about) anybody else...etc.

Hmmm...that sentiment didn't come out that Christmasy, but anyway...

Loved all of the photos from DR JOSE and DR SINGDAW last night.  Lovely!  Now the missing trees in my neighborhood are not so missed.

Also sounds like the DO went very well.

I can just see it: thirty cars waiting to get out of the parking garage, and she's surfing the internet.
