Well, MY mother used to take corn tortillas and fry them up into hard shells herself.  None of this pre-made taco shell nonsense for HER!

(Braggy snarky rights claimed here!)

And she was from upstate New York - she learned how to cook Mexican specialties on her own.

My mother did the same, Woody--and she wasn't a great or innovative cook, either! She did love Mexican food, though. I don't think that the packaged taco shells were even available then. We were the only family on the block in those days who served Mexican food.

Now to return to my Bollywood movie...Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958) starring Ashok Kumar, Anup Kumar, and Kishore Kumar (yes they are all 3 brothers), and the every lovely Madhubala...one of the most beautiful, sensual (and that says a lot coming from me!) women who ever lived.

Also co-starring Helen and Cuckoo.

An amusing film about 3 mechanics who fall in love with the same women...a customer who keeps bringing her car in for repairs.

I am almost afraid to ask who Helen and Cuckoo are.

After my Bollywood movie I mayh perhaps watch an Edna Mae Oliver film that I recorded the other day

Here is a pic of Steve and me with Sir Elton John.  ;)

Sir Elton must have tied on a few. His face looks a little waxen.    ::)

Really glad your relatives got their package, Jack. I figured it would turn up. Thankfully, it did.

TCB, they are talking about it because a lot of people are worried about electability. Who can actually win the election.

I understand the reason, Cilla, but it doesn't really work that way.  Eleven months from now who is electable in December 2007will not mean spit compared to elcetability in November, 2008.

It's so nice to have DR TCB back again.  I have missed him.

My movie viewing for tonight was THE COURT JESTER.  I never tire of it.

Almost forgot to add Marion Cotillard in LA VIE EN ROSE (LA MOME) to my list of favorite female performances this year. . .
So, I might as well add Robert DeNiro's unlikely supporting turn in STARDUST as well.

Well the back of my head was on the news tonight, lol. At least my hair was clean.

I'm going to sleep.  I may go see Bill Clinton in the morning,

Anyone watch that football game tonight? Sounds like it was an exciting one.

Yes, I watched it.  I guess it was historical inevitability.  The New England Partiots now have a perfect season (16 - 0).

I don't know, Matt, all three of them look pretty shiney shiny.  I almost said they looked Shiney, who Mr. Barnum would know is a Bollywood star (Shiney Ahuja).
