Good morning, all! I have a report to continue and more tallying of receipts for the IRS.  I'm finding neither task particularly fascinating but they need to be accomplished, so I can clear my desk for any possible projects showing up (hopefully) in the next few weeks.

TOD:
DVD:  Casino Royale, a couple of Amicus and Hammer horror films
CD: Enchanted, Jan Horvath, a Johann Strauss operetta "Apple Somethng," Guy Haines, Hansel & Gretel
  VCR: this 'n' that

I dropped DR Sandra off at the parking lot.

So the bus she referred to yesterday was actually "Mom's bus"?  ;)

Today I must pick out a new cell phone and plan at Verizon Wireless.
I want to get one of those PDA Smartphones so I can check email and internet all day long.

I don't know what plan to get, though.
Everything seems so expensive.

I don't need a million things in the phone.  I don't need a camera.  I don't need to have my entire mp3 collection on it.  It doesn't need to be able to make panini sandwiches.  I just want to make and receive calls, check my email, and access my favorite websites.

I think that means I need to get a voice plan AND a data plan.

But each time I talk to one of their reps, I get a different story - a different recommendation, and a different price.  Argggg!

Julie - About your new system, i would say "Thank God," but given that you're an HHW God now, wouldn't that be thanking you?

One of Preminger's later films - for which I was actually coincidentally there watching Preminger, Dyan Cannon and company film a key scene - was coincidentally entitled Such Good Friends (almost a DR Noel reference).

DR Singdaw, I love the Metropolitan Room.
I understand what you mean about it getting very crowded there, though.
If it's a sold out crowd, the room can be quite packed, and you can really feel like a sardine.
But there are some tables that are better than others, if that really concerns you.
As Fred said, the tables on the upper level are less packed, although you then have a side view of the stage.  There are also booths line the back wall that are more centered in front of the stage and provide a great view - but comfort depends on how many people are sharing the booth.  Three people is ideal, and very comfortable.

It's really a beautiful room, and a lovely place to see cabaret.  The staff is also very friendly and accomodating, and they work very hard at being as non-disruptive as possible to the performer and audience when they are serving drinks.

That is correct.

I have a Blackberry and like it a lot.  My greatest regret is that HHW on it is a bit cumbersome, and I can't post here from my Blackberry [which is a problem with the technology that HHW is built in, not with the Blackberry].

Good morning, ya'll. The picture I was working on yesterday has mysteriously disappeared. Whatever shall I do?

Good morning!

Another very cold morning but a little warmer temps are promised for the afternoon. I'll be inside for most of it except when I run my errands later.

The last new episode of WOMEN'S MURDER CLUB comes on tonight, so I'll definitely be watching. I'll be DVDing and Blu-raying it for the rest of the day.
