Hello, m'dears - just landed at Fort Lauderdale - yup, I'm in Miami for the week. Nice weather!!!

Speaking of which - I had a call a few moments ago from Jane and Keith - they are trying to get home, and the weather may or may not cooperate - the pass between California and Oregon can be closed at any time, due to freezing conditions and/or snow -

Jane asked me to request good travel/get home tonight vibes from y'all - my fingers are crossed, and I'm hereby requesting excellent get-home-safe-tonight vibes for the Jane-Keith-Sherlock unit!!!

As I cooked and ate lunch today, I watched three BONES episodes, all of the ones dealing with Temperance's involvement with FBI agent Sullivan who became her love interest and sadly sailed away without her.

I just had a lovely call from the Library of Congress Music Division; my friend Betty is helping me with the information on the LoC buying the manuscripts for BABES IN TOYLAND in a 1955 Sotheby's auction.  She's found a lot of the correspondence between the Music Division and Ella Herbert Bartlett and Robert Bartlett on the state of affairs in the Victor Herbert Collection.  The manuscripts were purchased from Sotheby's for $1200.

DR singdaw, I am sorry to hear of a death in the family and sorrier to hear you have a trip to South Dakota at this time of year. I was looking at the new issue of Vanity Fair today and the photo of Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece reminded me of you. Sort of.  If I squint.

Then, I proceeded to watch more SABRINA episodes. None of them were very good, and the only guest star of note was Henry Gibson. Funny that he wasn't in the episode where other LAUGH-IN regualrs were; he got his own episode.

I ended my afternoon with AS THE WORLD TURNS. Yes, as DR Elmore intimated, the gay characters were on and stepping forward ever-so-slowly with their involvement.

They are college freshmen. Funny, but I had my first boy friend when I was a freshman in college, and believe me, we did NOT take it slowly (and this was the 1960s). So all this pussy-footing around with them is strictly a writers' construction to drag things out (or delay the inevitable; I'm guessing there will be temptations thrown in their paths that will even prevent them from getting together).
