I guess I need to think about getting some sleep, too.

Good night!

I am exhausted. I spent the entire day hospitalizing one of my kids who seems to be spiraling out of control, getting progressively more aggressive and depressed. When we got to the admissions office, he was super excited to find out that there was a cafeteria where he would be allowed to pick out his own food. He was the most excited I've seen him in weeks. Go figure.

I would also be excited if we could get some heat in my apartment. Just because it has been unseasonably warm the last few days does not mean that we don't need heat.

Dishing the Project Runway judges is a proven way to get warm

Or even dissing the Project Runway judges, for that matter

Project Runway spoiler alert!!!

I totally would have chosen Sweetpea's work. Her dress was gorgeous. Absolutely appropriate for prom and not over the top, but different enough to stand out.  Victoria's dress was pretty, but my roommate and I thought she wrecked it with the profusion of multi-colored jewels. I felt super bad for Christian, he's young and did not handle a difficult situation with much finesse. But I guess that's what happens when two narcissists get paired up.

If only! I think it may be warmer outside than it is in either bedroom right now.

And on that complaint, I'm off to bed. I will be forcing both cats to cuddle with me for warmth.

TPunk - Skip totally agrees with you about who should have been the winner.  He was sending the equivalent of vibes to the TV set saying that person's name, but to no avail (since it was taped so long ago, and vibes don't seem to work on pre-recorded matter.)

TPunk must have radiator heat...or rather a lack of. I had radiator heat in my apartment and you were at the mercy of the thermostat in the basement.

There was no real Sweeney Todd; it's an urban legend.  We went through all this brouhaha in 1979.  He's an invention of the anonymous author of the penny-dreadful serialization "A String Of Pearls," which was dramatized by Thomas Preskett Prest.  Your friend should read this:

The author of that article references this book:  Sweeney Todd: The Real Story of the Demon Barber of Fleet Street[/b][/url], by Peter Haining and doesn't even mention that Sondheim and Wheeler's musical is based on Christopher Bond's play.  I tried to tell my friend that the research on the history of the story that I'd heard about over the last thirty years (I never did any research, myself) indicated that it wasn't a single, real person, but she said that that article she read said that it's true, so to her it's true! ::)

But I'll definitely tell her about The Wonderful and Surprising History of Sweeney Todd.

I have never done Karaoke.  I've been to one karaoke bar, way back in around 1998.

I did some futzing with what I wrote earlier, actually just the last couple of pages of what I wrote earlier - I'm thinking eight pages is a bit much for me - I think it will be three to seven from now on.
