Hmm... Do you really want me to go back and pounce on your missteps of the past few days retroactively?

;)

If you must, be gentle.

DR elmore - I may have an extra ticket to the NY Phil this week - Thursday night, I think.  Leif Ove Andsnes is playing Brahms' Second Piano Concerto.  Are you possibly interested in this possibly available ticket?

Good morning, good day, how are you this beautiful day.  The singing bird has returned after years doing stock and amateur and is outside singing You've Come Home from Wildcat.

Edisaurus, last night I had a dream that I was watching some very wonderful compilation of something (old TV or movie clips or something) on TV and at the end the only credit was "Compilation by Amy Linton".

Actually, I had quite a variety of odd and interesting dreams last night...all good.

Begin Rant:

I am working on a campaign where a Republican women is challenging an incumbent Republican man for a non-partisan seat on a school board. The local Republican apparatus first tried to get her not to run: promised her money/endorsements if she shifted to a "lesser" race. Well, she decide to run anyway - now they are going after her Campaign Consultant:

Quote
I am surprised at your lack of knowledge and support for the district central committee's mission to help Republicans win local elections. We cannot simply sit back, like some past committees did, and watch Republican candidates split votes, enabling a Democrat to get elected. If neither candiate gets elected, then no Republican issues get prioritized & the Democratic agenda is allowed to continue growing in our school systems.

So much for "It's about the children!"

End Rant

der Brucer

Please note: the Chairman of the local Apparatus can not spell "candidate".

Hello, everyone. I've been laid up with the flu for several days. I'm now in the "Where'd all the kleenex go?" stage, and do hope to get rid of this congestion soon.

And, no, I am NOT caught up on the posts.

I'm also working on stuff for TRADING SPACES. The big news there is that Paige Davis is coming back as the host, and there will be more "stories" to the shows. One show features a divorced couple, another one, rival cheerleasders whose mothers are best friends, and there's also a mother and daughter who redo a room in each other's houses (spending limit is under 1,000.)

I had read that somewhere about her coming back to the host the show.

DR edisaurus - HELLO!!!!!

*By chance, do you know who's doing the music for the Soccer Mom show?  A friend of mine does work from time to time for both TLC and Discovery.  -Just wondrin'.

I don't know but I can probably find out. I'm also working on stuff for LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD, which, surprisingly, is their highest rated show. It has almost wall-to-wall music, nicely done, so if that's your friend, then my compliments to him!

DR Jose, I enjoyed hearing that Atlanta is now considered to be a top 10 dining city! I haven't bought that issue of Gourmet yet but it looks great. I've never been to Bacchanalia but I have many friends who love it and go there on special occasions.

One day...

We tried out a new Asian fusion restaurant that recently opened near our house. It was all yummy--for dessert we had green tea creme bruleé. It was quite delish, and we were both thinking that although we had never heard of this, we were sure you had, and had probably sampled some as well.

Our Chinese waiter could not pronouce bruleé---it kept sounding like Blue Ray, which made me think of MattH.

It made my DH think of the song, The Green Beret, so he started making his own lyrics, a la FJL (but not as good...).
