PUT A LITTLE PEPPER ON IT

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a little pepper on them, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently putting a little pepper on it.

Was it the cow that ran away with the spoon?  Or did the cow jump over the moon?  Somebody ran away with the spoon and somebody jumped over the moon and I think a cow was involved with one or the other.

And what has that got to do with the price of burritos?

It was snowing here in Olympia, yesteray afternoon!  It looked like it might stay for a while, but it didn't.  It turned to a very light rain and that was it.  But the snow was nice, while it lasted. :)

Right now, I'm listening to a CD that came in the mail yesterday:  the original Los Angeles cast recording of a show called Play It Cool.  It's a jazz musical and so far, I really like it.  The synopsis in the booklet seems a little convoluted, but after reading it a couple of times, it does make sense. ;) It's about an illegal gay nightclub in the 1950s.  There are only five people in the cast and they're all good. :)

Anyway, has anyone heard (or heard of) this show/recording?

Hey Diddle Diddle
The cat and the fiddle
The cow jumped over the moon
The little dog laughed
To see such sport
And the dish ran away with the spoon.

Looks fantastic, and I look forward to reading future entries.  Long may it reign! [ as opposed to rain... ]

And the word of the day is: SOLON!
The Congressman said his farewells towards the end of his retirement party, and the gathering of friends and associates followed by singing "SOLON, farewell, auf wiedersehen, good bye!"

I do not know anything about Foster Hirsch, and wouldn't be able to identify him if I saw him.

Which may be why, whenever our esteemed BK has mentioned him in his notes, I have instead flashed on the late Foster Brooks.

Who no doubt would have been far more entertaining than Foster Hirsch.

Torchwood's season opener was a fun romp.

But the title music is, shall we say, sucky?  How Murray Gold, who has been writing really good music for Doctor Who, ended up writing anything this sucky baffles.

But I'd rather be looking at Foster Brooks any day.

DR Tomovoz - I had forgotten about Eydie's "If He Walked Into My Life"!   Good choice!!

I would humbly add Ella's "This Time the Dream's On Me."
