Ron, you will be pleased to know I won't be narrating Bryan's flight to NY. ;)  At least not if it has arrived by the time I wake up in the morning.  Jet Blue doesn't arrive until 8:00AM.

Let me get this straight.  Are you telling me that you are actually going to be able to SLEEP while Bryan is in flight?

Does anyone else have the feeling that W doesn't know what the big words mean?

Back with printer cartridge.  I was trying to make an LP transfer with my ION turntable - it goes along fine for awhile, then I start getting some kind of electrical noise, as if a chord is loose.  I checked the USB chord (Ab/Bb), replugged and still happened.  Maybe I'll try another USB cord.

This is a clip of the Gold Medal performance at the 1980 World Championships.  I thought this Hungarian pair (Regoczy & Sallay) totally marvelous.  That event was also the first time I "remember" seeing Torvill and Dean skate (I believe they finished fourth that year).  IIRC, the rink was outdoors.

Such as one tablespoon of olive oil, kosher salt, freshly ground pepper and some fresh brussel sprouts. Now that's yummy.

Yes---that probably is my favorite side dish!

Jose, thank you for your offer.  I mentioned to Bryan I had a list of food places to eat & he reminded me he is on a tight budget, as is his girlfriend.  I expect they will cook most of their means.  He also has numerous friends, & a cousin, to visit.  Maybe they will treat him.

I think he might eat at the school, however, do you know a good vegetarian restaurant near the Apollo?

Finished writing seven pages, but will probably do a page or two more of the new chapter.  But, I've just passed manuscript page two hundred.  Whew!

As is the custom among British film crews when you reach slate 400: time for champagne!

Vibes to TCB!

Now that I have looked this up, I am amazed at how prevalent it is. I'm glad you were able to see your regular doctor!

Thank you on behalf of my DH, Jane, Kerry, Dakota, George and anyone else I missed.

We celebrated Greg's birthday by getting my old car running and then going to a neighborhood meeting. We had a nice dinner afterwards, though!

Now I must prep my material for work tomorrow. Some of the shows I got are pretty weird, and the one I wanted to do (The Singing Office) went to someone else. Then again, it may end up with me after all, the way this company works! They seem to assign things randomly and not based on our strengths/weaknesses. (Not that I have any, LOL!)

Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

What a full evening of viewing. I began by finishing MURDER MOST FOUL, and I always enjoy it. These Rutherford/Marple films were despised by Agatha Christie, but I think they hold up beautifully.

Next, I watched three hours of stand-up comedy featuring what Comedy Central considered the eight best stand-up specials over the last ten years or so. They were all very funny (some a little more than others, but they all made me laugh).

The DVD is labeled "uncensored" so I was expecting something raunchy, but apart from the "F-word" two or three times and "the finger" in one person's set, nothing even remotely tasteless or censorable.

The DVD also featured as a bonus four "comedy quickies" as they called them: 2 minute excerpts from four Comedy Central shows: THE COLBERT REPORT (hilarious), LIL' BUSH (OK), SARAH SILVERMAN (not funny), and SOUTH PARK (typical).

Next, I watched another NCIS episode. This one involved the robot car that ended up killing one of the scientists who designed it. Not one of the better episodes.

I watched Richard Lester's film version of Terrance McNally's THE RITZ.  I still like the film a lot.  I adore Treat Williams in it.  Kaye Ballard makes the most of what she is given, but the three top-billed stars are perfect:  Jack Weston, Rita Moreno and Jerry Stiller.   It's a very brief film, too.  The dvd transfer is quite good.

Which DR knows the connection between Andrew Lloyd Webber's EVITA and THE RITZ (the movie)?

I ended the evening watching the rerun of THE OFFICE on NBC-HD. This was the one where they made a commercial to submit to corporate. Corporate turned it down. OK, but not one of the greatest OFFICE episodes.
