Kevin Sorbo still looks pretty damn good after all these years away from HERCULES.  In fact, in another year or two, Michael Barnum will be ready to date him.

How old does one have to be to date Michael Barnum?

Hi Michael.  Are you having a nice day?  Have you had any cake?

I had a piece of cake at work. And now I am getting ready to go out for dinner with a group of friends. Thanks for asking

Perhaps Burka is not the correct word, or maybe there are different styles or types of burkas I don't know, but her outfit is more like this the photos below. Her face is not covered, just her hair and the rest of her body so it really should make no difference to anyone.

Terms that might apply:  Jilbaab ( loose cloak).
Khimaar (large shawl covering head and shoulders).
Hijaab (loosely, head scarf)

As long as the facial features (i.e. "identity") are exposed, I, personally,  have no problem.

I had my follow-up appointment with my doctor today.  I didn't get the news I was hoping for.  I do indeed have MRSA and probably will have (in one form or another) for the rest of my life.

The doctor had to lance my arm again, so I came home and took a pain pill.

A dear family friend (Barbara Rosenblat, who was in the original cast of Secret Garden and far too few other Broadway shows) was in a production of In Circles directed by Carmines. Odd show, but I'm glad I got a chance to see it.

Is that the same Barbara Rosenblat who is an audiobook reader?  She is very, very popular among listeners.

The very one and the same!  And she was on the first recording of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty's Lucky $tiff, recorded by our very own BK!

ANDREW SULLIVAN

Quote
A Baptist Church's Mass Outing
30 Jan 2008

For all Obama's inclusive words, some members of some churches are not exactly following through:

"I will be leaving the choir at the top of the year because 80 percent of the tenors are homosexuals and act more like a female in choir rehearsal than I do," the church choir member said in one of her e-mails to Bishop Alfred Owens Jr., the church pastor.

The e-mail, sent in December, identifies about 45 fellow church members as gay. She sent a second e-mail to Owens on Jan. 2 identifying another 62 church members as gay.

"The following people I am asking you to monitor very closely and my prayer is that you will sit them down from their ministries," she told Owens in the December e-mail. "Because they are ushering in the presence of sin, lies, a spirit of homosexuality and sexual spirits."

If all gay choir-members were removed, a great silence would fill Sunday morning in America.

DR TCB - You know that if we lived closer to each other, I'd happily see to your nursing needs. . .'til then, just think of me giving you a great big hug on a daily basis.  Take a virtual hug from me whenever you need one.  That's my prescription and I'm stickin' to it.

What a sluggish day.  I've only done a little over two pages because I spent hours revising about six other pages.  I think it's all fine now and I think I'll try to talk to muse Margaret tonight, just to make sure I didn't cut anything she liked.  I tend to go overboard when I'm shortening things.
