Good morning!

Gorgeous blue sky and moderately cool temps this morning, but it should be a lovely February day with highs in the 50s.

Sunny and cool here today.

Sounds like a detective show, doesn't it?

DON'T DO IT, DR ELMORE3003!!

Can you hear me laughing heartily? No? When I'm pissed, I have no sense of humor and at the moment I have none.

DR MATTH - I am loving your WOO pages much more than the Harry Potter ones!

Thanks. The quality of paper is better so the scans are definitely better. Also, there is a mix of film frames and publicity shots which I like.

SMALLVILLE tonight brings back my favorite character from the past two years: Justin Hartley playing Oliver Queen/The Green Arrow. Such a hunk and a great, sexy addition to the cast.

Today I'll be tackling the last of the POWER RANGERS sets. There are 7 episodes in this last volume, but I should still be able to get it finished tonight before prime time begins.

Even if GONE BABY GONE on Blu-ray arrives today, I'll go ahead and finish up with the kiddie DVD.

I have RENO 911, PROJECT RUNWAY, and CSI: NY on the DVR. RENO should be no problem to get to today while I'm waiting for my ride to lunch to arrive. As for the other two, no telling if I'll get to them today or not.

Follow up on mechanicals:  "they" did indeed tell me that.  The "new" (as of 2006) rate is also on their website:

It really annoys me that Lou Gossett Jr. and Jessica Lange won the supporting Oscars over Robert Preston (especially) and Lesley Ann Warren. Even Lange admits her Oscar that year was a consolation prize for not getting it for FRANCES (up against Meryl Streep's unassailable SOPHIE'S CHOICE).

It really annoys ME that the real Frances didn't get a supporting actress nom (she was too new for a Best Actress nom, though she was the lead) for Come and Get It, one of the all time greatest performances (literally, she plays two characters) of the Golden Age.   ;D  The fact that Brennan was nommed (and won) for his hammy work just makes it all the worse.

I also watch SMALLVILLE. But we do not get the CW so for us it is only on on Sundays.

DR MattH, the character you mentioned you will be on tonight is also one of my favorites (love the actor playing him).

TOD:

James Garner: have never seen a performance by him that I didn't enjoy, but my top faves are SAYONARA and THE CHILDREN'S HOUR, along with his work on tv.

Julie Andrews: I have only seen two Julie Andrew's movies and some of her TV specials when I was a kid.....so...I will choose MARY POPPINS and SOUND OF MUSIC.

My Navy Federal Credit Union account has been repeatedly suspended over the past few months.  I find this very interesting as I don't have a Navy Federal Credit Union account.

Well, Brennan won his three Oscars almost certainly because the extras were allowed to vote during those years. He began as an extra, and with one of their own getting a nomination, they voted for him every time he was nominated. By the time he got his fourth nomination for SERGEANT YORK, they were no longer allowed to vote, and he lost.

I have gotten roped into accompanying a horn player in a Hindemith sonata for a statewide competition.  Oy, the atonality.

And here I had been thinking it was simply because he slept with the Academy.

James Garner -- The Rockford Files, Maverick, The Great Escape (everyone was good in that movie, I think)

Julie Andrews -- The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, and V/V
