I've had a good afternoon of cleaning, vacuuming, sorting and tossing.  I also rearranged my working area and desk. Still not perfect, and it won't be until I get George in to fix the wall of book cases that didn't collapse in 2004 before they collapse.

I have to run out and buy some hanging fixtures and some velcro tape.  And dinner.  I am starving.

I forgot to mention this afternoon that I was checking something out for a friend today while I was cooking and eating lunch, and to do that I watched the first half hour of RETURN OF THE JEDI upconverted in the PS3. They really did a fabulous job with the transfers of the original STAR WARS movies. The picture and sound are truly reference quality in every way. (That movie was never been a favorite, but it was handy for checking out what I needed to check out.)

I must say, DR Sinkstopper managed yesterday to post more posts for the mere sake of posting than even our DR Pulliam has ever managed in a month week hour day.

You have competition, DR Pulliam!

Good Afternoon!

Done for the day.  And it seemed to be the afternoon of "changing cue lines"... Oh, you want me to start playing now? (but you wrote something else on your music)  ;)

However, those instances - and there was string of four in a row(!) - made me giggle rather than upset.  :)

George, that is so funny.

And that's exactly how they pronounced it...didn't anyone think about that when they created the name?? ;D

And that's all I'm sayeth-ing for now.  Time for me to decided where to go and what to have for dinner.  The allure of Beale Street is still beckoning to me - along with the kitchen exhaust from the Rendezvous (they literally blow the smoke from the rib smoker into the street).  So, we'll see...

Well, I'm off.  I need to get ANOTHER new faucet for my kitchen.  The one that I put in last week is just not right for the space.  Everytime I turn on the water, the handle hits the back of the counter, which is way too close to the handle (damn kitchen designer), so I can't turn the water on all the way.  My sister had a new faucet that might've worked, but that doesn't fit, either.  I went to The Home Depot yesterday and found a style that looks good and would fit perfectly, but they didn't have any in stock and they don't know when they will! :P So, now I'm going to check out Lowe's and the other local Home Depot to see what they have in stock (I want something NOW!).  If I can find one that fits, my sister would like the new one that I'm getting rid of (it's still brand new).  I hope Lowe's has something.

The smart aleck who came up with the name is snickering now, I'll bet. You wonder -- didn't anyone say it out loud? I guess not.

When Richard and I returned from church and lunch in Cincinnati, our neighbors called across the street to tell us that their power was out and to let them know if ours was, too.  It was and had been for about an hour by then.  It was getting c-c-c-cold in our house.  A little over half an hour later, the power came back on.  Weird.

The temperature is falling rapidly and it's quite cold outside.  We had snow flurries earlier, but it's stopped.  I suspect it will start up again soon.

I had good news today from the director of the Miami University Theatre program; she put me in touch with the head of Special Collections, and I'm hoping I can ship a large part of my collection to Miami and out of my apartment.  I've got 40 cartons waiting to go at the moment, and I could send them plenty every year after until  kick.

Thanks for the information MattH.

I have to agree with your comments about Micheal J. Fox, Alex Keaton was a  very good role for him.

Very funny.  Phrases that drive me crazy when spoken incorrectly in musicals include:

Beau-DEEE and the Beast.

The Soun Dove Music

and my favorite:  Wooden tit be loverly?
