Well, you've read the notes, the notes were not eBay friendly, and now it is time for you to post until the damn cows come home.

*sigh* being called in to work at 3:00 in the @#!@#! morning at least means that I get an early post in...

I truly can't get particularly riled up about eBay, one way or the other... I've won some 50-odd auctions over the years, and have generally gotten what I wanted at a price I was willing to pay. The idea of paying > $500 for something like a collectible would just never cross my mind, so BK's issues never really affected me. As for being sniped: well, I always had a top-bid price in mind, and almost never bothered raising it; if someone sniped me at the last minute, they did so by paying more than I was willing to. I was probably shilled once into paying more than I needed to for a computer, but again, I paid an amount that I thought was reasonable. That being said, eBay is certainly not as much fun for me as it used to be, but that pretty much describes the entire 'net...

I see what you mean.

:-\

That's interesting, since he just bought it from me and hasn't received it yet.

He's got two others I just sold him listed, too.  He's already made a profit on Mulan.

Gratuitous Post # 16500 for me. :)

And now, I MUST go to sleep.  I'll find out BK's answer in the morning.  Good night, all.

AMERICAN IDOL personal picks:

Top Three
David Archuleta

Michael Johns

David Cook

Bottom Three

Chikeze

Jason Yeager

Garrett Haley

Danny Noriega did himself in with a wretched song choice

Everybody seemed to play it safe - we have heard better from most of the performers. Nothing really bad, but no star power either

When we returned from Wag and Wash, I carried JJ down to the basement patio doors - as soon as he got inside, there was a mad dash for the litter box, like he had been holding it in. (Much runny poop - shut up, Jane :-X)

Late last night I went down to visit and received a lecture:

A. I got in the box, I scratched up the litter - it ain't my fault my ass end was over the edge and I messed on the carpet!

B. What's all this talk about sex?

C. When I want you stop petiing, I'll tell you!

Re the cat, Cilla posted:

If she's going to stay, take it slowly. It took me 6 weeks with Boo, but it was worth it, and that was just introducing her to another cat.

Well, I really don't want the bother of keeping him, but see little choice for now. Actually, he seems quite content having the basement to himself - he has taken to exploring, and there is lots of stuff to get into :) As soon as you come downstairs, if he is not in his chair, he comes dashing out from the nether regions to greet you. He always uses the litter box (even if he does have poor aim - guess he is a male) and seems to really like the el-cheapo canned food I got from Super G (2 small cans for $0.89). The Wag and Wash is having a $3 rabies clinic on Saturday, so they'll all get shots.

JJ does seem genuinely happy, so I guess he stays a while.

der Brucer

There really aren't any good Hebrew cuss-words, which is why every Israeli knows at least seven words in English (quick George Carlin reference); probably the worst thing you can call somebody in Hebrew is a "ben zonah," which literally translates as "son of a harlot," and that's a term you can find in talmudical discussions.

Yiddish, on the other hand, lends itself quite well to sarcastic put-downs (who woulda thunk?)

I've had good experiences on ebay, but have learned that you must watch out for the shipping and handling costs, which I must admit have surprised me.
