Just a semi-random question...
Just what is it about theatres, hotels and office buildings that make people forget how to count and/or the order of the alphabet?
"I'm looking for room 506."
-Well, this is 505, and 506 is right next door to your left.
"How many doors down is that?"

Well, if you were in Cabin 505, and somebody wanted Cabin 506, they would have to go to the other side of the ship.
(Even - port, odd, starboard; oh, and port is left, starboard right - and after oh-so-many years I still have to remember that port, even, and left all have four letters; and port running lights are red, like the wine)
