JANE EYRE is one of my favorite books and movies, in its various incarnations, so I probably would have loved WIDE SARGASSO SEA, but I just couldn't get past the title.

I think now I'm ready to give it a shot. Any recommendations by the DRs?

In some hotels, even numbers are on one side of the hall, and odd numbers are on the opposite side.

Greetings from the newest Apple Store in New York City.  It's basically right at the hub of Chelsea, The Meatpacking District and the West Village.  -And the Chelsea Market is just a block away!!!  Ohh... Fatwitch Brownies!  Hmm... ;)

 I have not read the book, but I liked the film very much. I had no idea it was based on Bronte when I went into it.

Hip hip and hooray! The cabaret lady's check arrived and has been deposited.  I have spent part of the afternoon finishing up the cartons with numbered labels and additional tapings.  I hope that on Monday I can call Fed Ex and ship it all out of my life.

I've decided that the cartons are my priority and I sent Matthew an email telling him I'll catch him next month at the Caffe Vivaldi.  He's been selling his CD on his MySpace page, and I really like it and recommend it.

Not good. Obviously, any rain is better than none, but the levels continue to decrease and now we're looking at other options---building more reservoirs, etc. We really should have been thinking about this, oh, say 10 years ago! They have relaxed the watering restrictions a tiny bit in our county, but we still have lost a lot of wonderful plants and my very favorite rhododendron, which was so glorious last year.

People may not be planting many more rhododendrons in the future. Although they grow wild in the mountains on hillsides, they seem to be very drought intolerant, so it doesn't look good for their future.  :'(
