DR Michael S - We went through the whole
SPOILER discussion a couple of months ago, and a couple of times before that - and it wasn't just related to "Lost", so...
First of all, it's just a TV program.
Secondly, there are more sources for potential SPOILERS for "Lost" - and any other show - than just HHW. Heck, even some of the previews and commercials for the shows seem to contain a bit more information than some people would like. Yes, sometimes the information is misleading, but it's still information nonetheless. You might as well ask ABC not to do any more publicity for the show - which is something that would definitely not happen.
Thirdly, if we stopped talking about "Lost", well... Fridays would be mighty dead around here.

Finally, I stated a few days ago, that I don't really get all that invested with TV shows mainly because my schedule usually doesn't allow me to keep up with programs on a regular basis. Consequently, sometimes I just go ahead and ask "Who got kicked off?", "What happened?", etc. And then go back to watching the show when and if I can. Yes, the surprise element may no longer be there, but I'd have to say with "Lost" in particular, even knowing some of the "surprises" in advance hasn't really lessened my sense of excitement and wonder as those surprises begin to get revealed. Nothing on "Lost" is ever as it seems on first view, and the writers have done an amazing job of keeping you guessing at every turn. Yes, I know where I'm going, but the journey there is still worth the air fare.
