I have a lovely print cummerbund, but mine's silk...

Oh dear - how many lovely silk worm moths gave their lives for your pleasure - oh the inhumanity!

Now about that fox thingy....

Of course, after seeing Singdaw, no one will even notice me!

Oh, I don't know. He dazzles, but does not beguile.

Wow----I was just watching Meet The Press and Ralph Nader announced that he was going to run for president!

This should be very interesting!

I blame the jerk for screwing up the last crucial one.

TEST.

I like the idea of doing the spoilers in yellow. It is totally unreadable. So if i remember i think i will try this.

But of course we have to put the spoiler not in yellow with the name of the show! :)

LOL-As you are aware, you have to make sure you don't do this on a blue background.

DR JANE - this site might help you:

http://www.gerber.com/gerberbaby

The Wikipedia site says mostly the same thing, but mentions a couple of other interim babies, known only as Hogg and Murray.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerber_Products_Company

I appreciate your efforts.  I've been both places & they don't have what I'm looking for.  I have found the first Gerber baby numerous places, and other after the dates I'm looking for.  With today's wealth of info on the internet there "must" be something on all the babies.

Good afternoon. Cant' stay. I just realized No Country for Old Men is playing at the $3.00 movie theater and if I hurry I can make the 1:00 PM Matinee. Then I'll come home and watch In the Valley of Elah and my Oscar movie count will be an even 20 nominated movies.

Well, that's good news for a partisan Republican, but bad news for our political system. Nadar can only pull votes from the Democrat; the Democrat will be inclined to lean more to left, removing pressure from the Republican to lean to the middle. Most data suggest that the electorate is fairly evenly split, so a third entrant pulling a mere 0.5 % could be decisive.

Nadar pulled 2.7 percent of the national vote as the Green Party candidate in 2000, his percentage dropped to just 0.3 percent as an independent in 2004, when he appeared on the ballot in only 34 states.

And, as we found out in both 2000 and 2004, very few votes in one or two states can swing the election.

Sadly, Nadar offers no fresh insights or innovative proposals; he has no credential for leadership - his presence will only serve to act as a spoiler.

I was very sorry he didn't drop out of the last race when, IMHO, he handed the election to the Republican candidate.  I have to wonder if that his intention.

So far I'm not sure I really care this time around.   Sad but true.

I'm going to an Oscar party tonight. It's only about 3 blocks from my house, so that is totally cool for me.  I'll join back in when I get home. If the party is dull I'll be home sooner, if not I'll be here for the recap.

Last night I tried some more animal introductions.

I put Bonnie on a leash and took her to the basement. JJ came to greet me, but on seeing Bonnie, she retreated to her chair - but did not flee in panic. I let Bonnie up to the entrance to the pen and JJ gave a little hiss, but stayed in place. I grabbed a can of food, went into the pen and shut the door, leaving Bonnie on the outside. Bonnie stuck her nose through the wire mesh and starting whining to be let in. JJ sat in my lap and purred. I filled the bowl with food. Bonnie left to explore, and JJ got down to eat, but Bonnie returned, and JJ  noticed that the bowl was just a few inches from Bonnie's nose, so he retreated back to my lap.

Hardly a budding friendship - but no barking or growling on the canine side, and no back arching and hiss-spitting on the feline side.

I apologize der Brucer that my camera skills are lacking.  I thought I had apologized sufficiently when I first posted it.  Perhaps you would prefer this edited photo which removes the angle of the steep hillside on which the houses are built.

I love trying to see as many of the nominated movies as I can before the show. It's really just a game that I started years ago when we used to be bored living at the lake in the winter and it was an excuse to take road trips to see movies. But, it was so much more fun to watch the awards when I had seen the movies that I started doing it every year. I put it off this year until the last minute so I've been watching a lot in a short time to catch up on them.

And if you are truly brave, you can watch a cat fight scene from NAGIN between the Snake Woman (in the purple pantsuit) and a lovely lass .....and see her turn into a snake, as well! Oy!

;D  The feinting was a nice touch at the end.

We will join you in spirit - we plan on the 3PM showing, then the new Buffet (Chinese not Warren) for an easy pre-Oscar bash.

I guess that was easier than leveling the hill side! Great view either way.

Is that an arm of Commencement Bay?

DRLaura, I’m very sorry you have to look at a fish shower cover.  I guess it is better than the junk behind it.
