There was something I meant to post about last night, but by the time I remembered what it was, the computer was already shut down, and I figured I'd post it the next day (today).  But now I can't remember what it was.

DR JoseSPiano:

I was viewing this site, where a music director pimps his service for piano tracks and sheet music transposition.

I was just wondering - do people actually come into auditions, plunk down a machine, and sing to pre-recorded tracks?  Isn't that frowned upon?

It was something to do with casting - it'll come to me, i'm sure.  :)

Perhaps I shall go for a long walk today. I haven't walked in a couple of days.

But now I can't remember what it was.

It was probably a pun on the small tax returns you completed and "the point of diminishing returns."

TOD: Once we were driving on the I-17 in Phoenix. We were at a dead stop, then inched forward. For about 45 minutes. We finally got to the obstruction: a coat. Yes, there was a coat in the road. After that, we sped up to 65 mph.

No, they were talking about one of the several old ladies that were there that day.

But we heard her say that, we looked at each other and grinned and agreed that it sounded like a great quote.

Perhaps on April 16th, DR FJL can belt out that Phantom of the Opera standard, "Past the Point of No Return."

Good morning, all! I slept late. I never did hear from the NYC manager of Fed EX, although I was told he would call about my complaint.  All 43 cartons are now en route to Ohio, so it's now out of my hands.

Today, more LOS and BABES work.  I may do my laundry this morning as well, but first I need to vacuum the floors so that I can mop them with Steri-Fab before I wander down the street to deal with washers and dryers.

I have no traffic thoughts.  I hate driving, and Manhattan traffic is insane.

Folks I was errant and truant for the past three days for a very good reason, but as I was forced to watch the AA telecast I was thinking I wish I had access to a computer abd post my remarks about the telecast. At least the show didn't run over 4hrs like it had in the past. I think that was thanks the winners for the most part being brief in their thank yous. Also I think it was shorter because they did have time to over write the show.

I think it was interesting that they didn't have Brad Renfro in the memorial clips while they did have Heath Ledger. (Both victims of  self drug overdoses)

Tuesday morning greetings!  The weather that DR Cillaliz talked about last night and DR JRand talked about this morning is headed to SW Ohio today.  The only problem I had on my way to work was fog, but we're supposed to have snow for the evening commute.

TOD - one of the worst traffic back-ups I've ever been in was on I-75, going to Cincinnati.  We were stopped for a very long time and when they were about to reopen the highway an officer came along on foot to warn us that the pavement might still be a little slippery.  I asked if a tanker had overturned, spilling oil, and he said, "Tanker, yes.  Oil, no.  Mrs. Butterworth's syrup."

In the 10+ years I've worked in downtown Dayton, I've experimented with all possible routes between home and work.  The most obvious is I-75, but I've found that taking the old road (US 25) is just as efficient.  Getting to the interstate from our house adds miles, which was an issue during the time I was leasing cars, and most of the major traffic jams occur on the highway, not on the surface streets.

And the word of the day is: BENEFIC!

Sounds like the name of a commercial fiber supplement.

Or something Sally Fields would endorse for monthly dosage.

Last night I watched a film on DVD entitled The Fan, starring Lauren Bacall and James Garner from 1981.  Not a great film, but the kitsch factor was fun.  Features a few songs by Marvin Hamlisch and Tim Rice.

Most importantly for me was the introduction of the handsome and talented Michael Biehn as "the fan." He was wonderful working with these pros (Maureen Stapleton was also in the cast).

"Hearts, not Diamonds."

Good morning!

We had a good soaking rain this morning which we desperately needed, and it's warm, so it seemed like early April with the mild temps and rain. Supoosed to get cold for a couple of days after today. Today back to the 60s again (just like yesterday).

That's he in the flesh!

He has been in some big films (TERMINATOR, ALIENS), but sad to say he never had the star career I would have envisioned for him.

TV Reminders:

The ten remaining men sing tonight on IDOL.

New drama series on NBC at 10. Made by the men who brought us THIRTYSOMETHING, but this features TWENTYSOMETHINGS. Has not gotten great reviews, and I don't plan to watch it.

CBS offers BIG BROTHER and another new episode of JERICHO.
