Good morning, all!  I have a trek to Toyland this morning followed by a luncheon with Miss Pamela Myers of "Another Hundred People" and Mrs Tom Jones aka Janet Watson.  After that, a few odds and ends about the apartment need to be taken care of.

I, too, liked the novel WICKED, but his other novels have eluded me.

I have not much else in the way of news for the nonce. so here's the TOD:
DVD:  Stardust, Some Girls, several operas
CD:  The Firebrand of FLorence, Windflowers, Guy Haines
    VCR:  cheap porn

OK - I may return at lunch since it's a bit longer today, but I have a feeling I'll be wandering the exhibit hall gathering all the latest catalogs from the various vendors - just how many MTI and DPS and Samuel French catalogs do I need, anyway?  ;)  -Also, the "swag" has gotten better over the years - pens are always good to have on hand.  But in the meantime...

Laters...

Good morning. I'm up and I didn't have anything to do on this TLC job today, so they "gave me the day off", which means cancelling my session without a cancellation fee. Oh well, they've given me a lot of work, and it's rainy here so it will be a good day to stay in and work on my taxes.

Regarding the cat adoption discussion, I was really surprised that they would only adopt to people with a fenced in yard. Not only wouldn't that keep a cat in, but what if they want to have an indoor cat? The two we have that were strays never exhibit a desire to go outside. They know they have it good!

And as for the feline leukemia/aids---if a cat is going to be an "only cat" or could be adopted by someone who had another cat with it, why not, if they are able to be indoor only cats?

A friend in LA who adopted from a shelter told me that their rules are stricted than if you were adopting a child. I thought she was kidding, but maybe she wasn't!

Missing you all terribly; wish you were here!    ;)

DITTO!

(But maybe not really on the wish you were here part -- all of you would not fit into my study with me where I have been sequestered as I finish Chapter Three of the thesis ... besides, you'd be bored to tears watching me type and having to be quiet while I think, etc., etc.)

Friday morning greetings!  According to WHIO-TV, we are now in the throes of our 17th snow event this winter - the first one was Dec. 5, the day I saw DR Jason in A Christmas Carol.  And this could be THE BIG ONE, with double-digit accumulations predicted.  My drive into work wasn't bad, but I'm concerned about the drive home and tomorrow (a workday for me).

I am no longer amused by winter.
