TCB - I have no idea how Nell Carter would have been in RAISIN, but here's a Playbill article which seems to suggest that the show must at least have been cast and ready to rehearse (if not in rehearsal) at the time of Nell carter's passing.

TOD:

My Ask bk question:

Assuming that the new Kritzerland release does spectacularly well, might that pave the way for other rare projects?  Do you have a "wish list" for further future releases?

Hopefully there will be one of great interest to JRAnd57 and myself...of course I have no idea if things have progressed.

DH cut the grass, shredded a couple years' worth of old papers, and is now cleaning out the trunk of his car to make room for luggage.

I have cleaned out all the lower kitchen cabinets and relined them.

RE: the muffins. They were just banana muffins (no filling). But the mini muffin tin was so small. It was very hard to fill them without having them be too big and touch their mates.

As for the imitation recipes. They are not actually made the same way. They are just made to taste the same. So they don't have all the extra crap the chains put in them.

It's Ask BK Day and my question pertains to Kritzerland Records. . .

On the STROUSE, STROUSE and SCHWARTZ recording, Bob Cuccioli sound terrible! (singing "Morning Glow" from PIPPIN).  I have never heard him sound this way when I've seen him live on stage.
Was Cuccioli sick?  Was the song 'wrong' for him?  Was the arrangement wrong for him?  What was wrong?
Bonnie Franklin, on the same recording, sounds fabulous!  Who was her tap-dancing partner?
Penny Fuller brings of "One Halloween" tremendously.
Carole Cook is a force of nature, and I adore her lengthy, but, funny additions to her spot.  I realize that this was a recorded concert, but, how is Miss Cook to work with?  She seems to be the type of gal that I'd love to go out and have dinner with.

Fred, I wasn't doubting the casting of Miss Carter in ths show.  I remember them talking about that when she died.  I was just saying that I don't see her in the role of the mother in that show.  Just my personal opinion.

And you can tell that how?   Because he is floating? Or, he must be straight because he has a tatoo?

Trust me.  He's straight.

My apologies to one and all about my light in the loafers line.  It wasn't meant as an insult to the dancer whoever he may be.  I was merely responding to the photo with the usual gay stereotype.

However, I do not think that masculinity has anything to do with sexuality.  I have worked with a great many dancers in a lot of shows over the years; and I found almost every one of them to be extremely masculine, regardless of their sexuality.

I looked at the photo and found it enjoyable, nothing about it made me think "gay".  LOL-Neither was I thinking not-gay.
