Good morning, good day, how are you this beautiful day?  I am up.  Barely.  Got an e-mail that I'm supposed to get a call today.  Hope it comes before I'm on the road.

Hello, everyone.

I am trying to rejoin the land of the living. On the mend, but my stomach is not at all sure about the idea of food. My jeans are getting quite loose.

Better loose jeans than loose morals ;)

I'd gladly trade the loose jeans for the fat wallet. Can that be arranged?

Add me to the list of DRs needing new eyeglasses.

Question for anyone:
WHY are eyeglass frames sooo expensive? I don't get it. I can understand the lenses being costly, as they must be ground precisely, but I do NOT understand the high cost of the frames.

A. Basic black or clear plastic rimmed, standard lens sized, frames are inexpensive.

B. The materials and techniques used to manufacture hi-tech light weight and relatively indestructible frames with spring-loaded ear pieces are pricey.

C. "Designer Frames" - you pay for the name!

Or put another way - they charge it because people pay it!

I'm sure the esteemed brokerage of "Faust & Screwtape" can find you a deal.

Perhaps you're right. The bridge of my nose is small and I have difficulty getting a good fit. I usually buy Silouettes, which run about $150, but I can't get a comfortable fit with most other manufacturers.

I asked my optican recently why some non-prescription sunglasses are so expensive and she did give what seemed like valid reasons, but a lot of that had to do with the quality of the lens, not the frame.

BTW, Luxottica in Italy manufactures frames under a wide array of designer names. They may carry different brand names, but most are made in the same factories.

nd of the song, what with the repeats and all, I liked the steps done during the chorus.

I also like that a song about individuality had most of the singers doing the same steps at the same time and everyone dressed they way everyone else in the world dresses.

LOL-I noticed that.

I'm partial at the moment to Paula Dean's "Hey, y'aaaaaaawwwll"; does anyone really talk like that?

Yes, there are a bunch of 'em who do.

NO!! The mere THOUGHT of fish is bletch!

I'm on a yogurt diet. (I've been trying unsuccessfully to try to make a joke out of that.)

Don't they have Salmon Mousse Yogurt?

Or Anchovy Yogurt?
Or the ever popular "Kipper" Yogurt?
