I'm praying he'll stay and just figure it out - I would hate to be without Ye Olde TV, DVD, and lights in the CD and DVD closet for too long.

Re: BIG NIGHT.

I have seen the recipe for the climactic entree somewhere online.

The entire "Louis Prima meal" was so mouthwatering that I almost paused the movie just to gape at those delicious-looking dishes.

Reminded me, obviously, of BABETTE'S FEAST.

MEDIUM SPOILER:

Quote
Matt H:

I have to admit, however, that when Allison had the dream of Cynthia and her daughter talking at the lake, I was sure that meant that Cynthia was going to be dead soon, too, at the hands of that psychopath. Thus, the ending was a surprise. And, of course, Cynthia will get off. Killing that girl while in the throes of grief will most likely let her plead temporary insanity

Interesting, I thought she was just saying goodbye.  I didn’t realize until they were at the lake it was a clue.

I was expecting Cynthia to kill the psychopath & was surprised when it seemed she was leaving without doing so.

Jennifer, I agree, with time they may have gotten the goods on the killer & doing so would have made a continuing story.  I’m wondering if the ex District Attorney will be her lawyer & if Allison will still be able to prove the killer did it, just in time to get Cynthia off.  I found it moving Cynthia called Allison, & really who else did she have to call.

Quote
Jennifer:
I especially loved little bridget having the visions of a white haired man.

Yes, that was cute, yet………I’m having problems believing the white haired man, or evenn some flunky attorney, would simply offer $15,000 to an idiot who ran through the wet floor signs & managed a mild break of his wrist.  We were laughing at that last night.

I saw this when it premiered at the Cherry Lane in 1961.

I played Daddy in both of them when I was acting.

I'll bet you just blushed and giggled and went sticky wet.

Growing up, we didn't know from "chains".  But the first "restaurant" (of a sort) that opened in Greenville SC that was part of a chain was Dobbs House.

What? No Stuckey's out on the highway?

...of DR Ron Pulliam at the head of the line at Levain's!    8)
I"m still waiting to go to Levains. But, I did get a cookie personally delivered by DR Jose when I was in NYC last fall with DR Sam, so I can wait :)

I like Chilis.   When I was a kid I loved The Happy Chef. I loved going to Minneapolis and stopping at the Happy Chef in Mankato and pressing the button on the huge Happy Chef so he would talk to me.    (It's a sculpture about 2 stories tall)

A sculpture......................... that talks.................... yes!

There aren't any fuses, just the breakers.  He fixed the corroded one so that the bathroom works, but hasn't been able to figure out the den problem.  He's coming back on Saturday, which creates its own set of problems, since a) I have to figure out how the cleaning lady is getting in, and b) how the handyman will then get in, since I'll be gone to rehearsal until the early evening.  I'll figure it out somehow.

Until then, it's the bedroom for any DVD viewing, but given how late I get home, I wouldn't have watched anything in the den until Saturday anyway.

LOL-It's about the same here.  I know the single women are always complaining there are too few single men here.  Some of the single men had complained the single women here are too darn independent.
Truth be told... the single men are with each other... and so are the single women.

Ain't life grand!   ;D

Shortly, I shall be on my way to the Heim of Ana.  From what I understand, our usual new route of the 134 to the 210 is screwed up with lots of traffic.  Why?  Because they're doing bush trimming - at friggin' RUSH HOUR they're trimming bushes.  Someone ought to put the brainiac who scheduled this out of his misery and I'd be more than happy to volunteer for the job.

We can blame Edi for the fun I'm having, exploring the Uncyclopedia.

For example, I was chortleing earlier today over their list of 100 worst chidren's books of all time.

Be forwarned - reading this at work could result in sudden vocal outbursts.   :o
I've fixed the link.  Sorry about that.

I'm told the 134 is okay to the 5, so we'll brave the 5 today, which will probably add forty minutes to today's drive, and all because of bush trimming.

I hope this is not personal information you're sharing with us.

No....tsk....it was a "ferinstance"...

I've heard stories alleging a celebrity once was admitted to an NYC hospital where a gerbil was extracted from said orifice.
