TOD:

One of the more interesting interpretations of Midsummer's Night's Dream was the play within in a play part. They gave it a "Minnesota" spin and it worked quite well. It was a fun production and I really enjoyed it.

It worked becuase they played off the Nordic legends of trolls.

DR Dakota-Keith's Lassner's arrived in America from Eastern Europe, the Krakow area of Poland.  His great grandmother came from Moldavia, which is now Ostrava in the Czech Republic, & married a Lassner.

Interesting...

My great-grandfather, Wolfgang Schreiner came from the Sudetenland area in what is now the Czech Republic.

I forgot, vibes please for Bryan's little Sugar Glider who has gone to a great new home.  The vibes are for her to settle in and be happy so she doesn't have to be an only child's back at Bryan's.

When I went back down, I finished watching MR. WONG, DETECTIVE. I was only about three minutes from the end, but I got that finished.

I'll likely watch another one of the films tomorrow.

I love the new additions to your home, Cillaliz, and I ain't lion.

Thanks TCB!

They are named Leo and Clarence.  I think Clarence may be cross-eyed, but I like him anyway  ;)

Then I watched CLOVERFIELD. I really enjoyed it. A neat, compact little monster movie, kind of an amalgamation of THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT and ALIENS with a little of the Emmerich GODZILLA thrown in for good measure.

Very attractive and appealing young cast (I really only knew one of the actors - Lizzy Caplan who played Marlena. She's done a ton of TV appearances in the last couple of years.) Trust J.J. Abrams to produce a good time.

I listen to director Matt Reeves' commentary (very gabby; the man rarely takes a breath), and all of the bonus features: three fairly lengthy featurettes, a blooper section, 4 deleted scenes, and two alternate endings. All interesting, but all correctly not used.

Tonight's TORCHWOOD was an excellent episode. Really found it involving and quite moving. And, of course, always wonderful to see Jack and Ianto "busy," even if only for a fleeting moment.

Is this a slow news day here at haineshisway.com?
Apparently. Personally, I was doing some Spring cleaning.
I know, it's a shock to me too.  :D
