Guess I'll head down now to get laundry sorted and ready for washing. Then, I'll start thinking about what's for lunch.

Speaking of laundry, I"m on my third load and have about one more to go. I hope to be done by noon so I can head to the office and work for awhile.  Then I may do a little yard work, vacuum the house and settle in to watch John Adams.

That's the plan anyway. Who knows what will actually happen

Yesterday, my ticket to In The Heights arrived at my very own mailbox.  I am very happy about that.  Depending on how things shake out, I'm considering skipping Curtains and maybe seeing August Osage County. Any thoughts from those in the know?

I haven't been doing my walking for the past week or so. I can really tell it too.  I need to get back into it.  I better add that to the daily list of things to do.

I can't tell you how much I needed to stay home this weekend.  I am so glad that I didn't go to the meeting on the other side of the state or to my mother's house, especially since she had other things she wanted to do and me visiting was going to conflict with that.  Nothing beats both people being glad that getting together can't happen, lol

Thanks DR Jose.

May 3 and 4 (Saturday and Sunday) are my days in Midtown. Think I'll try to get a ticket for that Saturday night.  I'm doing a bird watching walking tour in Central Park with my friend Pam on Saturday morning. I'm sure it won't measure up to Jose's Central Park tour, but I'm still looking forward to it.

I'd like to leave Saturday afternoon and Sunday open for whatever and then see In The Heights on Sunday night.  Sounds like a plan. Time to search for tickets while the laundry tumbles

Good morning/afternoon!

We had a warm evening.  Had to sleep with a fan running.  Very unusual feeling for mid-April.

DR TCB:  No, you eat Greek yogurt like you would anything else.  Unless you live in Australia or some other country below the equator.

My cousin Ashley has gone to the hospital in Simpsonville SC.

It seems she's in labor.

My mom and Aunt (Ashley's grandmother) are driving up there from Johnston SC as I write this.

Woo and Hoo!  I love Telecharge. Unlike Ticketmaster, you can keep asking to see the next seat available.  After about the third or fourth try I found a great seat on the aisle.   So, I got it! Saturday Night August:Osage County and Sunday night In The Heights.  I am very happy one musical and one play. Perfectamente.

Hmmm..so that means that in Australia the fruit is at the top of the cup, and pineapple upside-down cakes aren't.

No, they just serve the cups of yogurt upside-down.

DR Ron Pulliam - Congrats to your cousin Ashley and the rest of your family!

And on a genealogical note... Does this make you an uncle?  I always get those parts of the tree mixed up, confused, etc.

Yeah, I've read about that.  Both you and a friend of mine in Sioux City recommended both. Whenever the two of you have agreed I've liked the show ...I think I would have even liked Spring Awakening if I had seen it from the audience.  It's going to be in Des Moines on tour. I may have to see it there.

I get confused too, is it a second cousin?  And where does the once and twice removed stuff come in?   I know I learned all this back in law school when we did estates and trusts, but I don't remember it at all

I'm so glad bk was impressed by The 11th Hour.

Maybe we can anticipate his behavioral modifications to do his part to avoid ecological catastrophe:

Back-yard Composting

No internal combustion engine driven vehicles

Maximum use of Public Transportation

No swimming pool

Hand wash and line dry all laundry - no dry cleaning!

Reject use of all non-recyclable containers (no plastic bags from markets, no Styrofoam take-outs)

No use of home air conditioning

No grassy lawns

Solar panels on the roof

Elimination of all investments, including mutual funds, which own oil stocks.

Avoid all public entertainments that use electrified instruments, like keyboards.

Remember BIG OIL only has the power that the consumers give it!

I think that every person in this country did any, one, of the things on your list, we would be a lot closer to solving the problem of global warming than we are by burying our heads in the collective sand.
