I've just finished burning another DVD on my brand new (to me) DVR/DVD burner! :D It's ever so much fun.  I've discovered that you can make chapters within a title and then delete certain chapters, so you can delete commercials...I love that!

But when you originally record onto the hard disc drive whatever it is that you want to record, you have to decide what speed/quality to record it at because that's the speed/quality that it has to be dubbed onto the DVD.  For instance, I've been recording from my Comcast DVR onto the DVD burner using the XP speed, which is the best speed, but that means that I only get one hour on a DVD.  If I want two hours on a DVD, I have to record using the SP (next lower quality) speed, etc.

With the heat cycle on, my Bosch dishwasher does indeed take approximately two hours per cycle.

THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN:

DISCOUNTBOOKS

Quote
Everything you’ve ever been told about Global Warming is probably untrue. From Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth to news reports from the popular media outlets and even public classrooms which, in chicken little fashion, are screaming - the sky is falling. But is it really?

This documentary, which contraditcs these claims and has been described by some as the most explosive film of the year and the definitive answer to Al Gore features interviews from some of the Worlds leading scientists, climatologists and former environmentalists...

The Great Global Warming Swindle blows the whistle on what may be the biggest swindle in modern history:

Proponets of man made global warming warn that climate change is the greatest threat ever to mankind, and, if we do not change our ways and reduce CO2 emissions - polar ice caps will melt, coastal areas will flood and hurricane like Katrina will become common.

Michelle Shocked (Anchorage)

Tomovoz, do you remember her early album called "Short Sharp Shocked"? (Of course you do!)
I was thinking of it when I was at THE MIKADO. "One of the lyrics included the phrase "Short Sharp Shock" and wondered if that was a MIKADO reference. But I was also thinking she might have been referencing Billy Bragg. Now if it was Todd Rundgren, I would have thought differently.

I'll start the MS initials with Michael Shayne.  No, not our very own Michael Shayne, but Bret Halliday's Michael Shayne, Private Eye.

Gee I always thought I was a character!!

I think it maybe just a coincidence with Michelle's lyric.  Did the Mormons in Dallas follow G & S?

SOUTHERN VOICE

Anti-bullying bill dies on final day in legislature

No gay issues move in 2008 session
...
Disappointed by a lack of movement on hate crimes, Jamie Ensley, president of the Georgia Log Cabin Republicans, found assurance in HB 89, which expanded the right to carry concealed firearms into restaurants, MARTA, workplace parking lots and state parks.

“Over the past couple of years, including this session, our legislature has expanded our right to carry firearms almost anywhere, as long as you have a concealed weapons permit,” Ensley said. “All LGBT Georgians [except convicted felons] can now legally defend ourselves with deadly force when necessary without an obligation to retreat when attacked.”

A well-armed gay population can take care of the hate-crime problem!

A .38 can sure silence a dueling banjo!

Never having watched the Simpsons, I think the latter would have been in my mind.
