Has DR TPunk mentioned if she's decided to continue with Guys & Dolls?

Good morning!

Another picture perfect day with highs in the high 60s, so I'm feeling spring today a great deal. I think I'll sit on my side porch and breathe the fresh air while my lunch cooks later today.

Good morning, all! There is an improvement this morning in the back; it's still quite uncomfortable but much better than yesterday.  Thank you all for the vibes.

Nice to hear :)

When it was announced that  "Zach is in excellent shape," I first thought of Zach in Chorus Line.

But glad to hear that the real Zach is doing well.

Glad to hear DR ELMORE's back is getting better.

I do not know from the Shubert wife's UTUBE or TUBE TOP for that matter.

Congrats to Zach on his vet report....

Last night DR Jane posted:

"Matt H, the snow interrupted MEDIUM last night & we have no idea how it ended.  Please help.

MEDIUM SPOILER!

We lost our connection just as Joe was talking to Kelly Preston, for the second time, in the restaurant.  Did he tell her he would not accept her terms?  What else happened?  What did the killer really look like & who was the guy in her dreams?"

At the restaurant Joe told Kelly that he couldn't accept her 51-49 percent breakdown of ownership. We found out at the end of the show, however, that he changed his mind and decided to take it, so the two of them are now in business together.

As for the murder, the man Allison saw in her dream really was the killer of the FBI agent and the other murders. The FBI agent's ghost lied to Allison so he could maneuver the killer into getting his comeuppance without the possibility of getting away or getting off on a technicality during a trial. The killer was killed in the car crash that Allison also dreamed about (though we never saw the driver of the car that ran into the young couple in her dream.)

Hope this helps.

I used to know a girl in college Laura Something (Spiller?), who used to send her enemies air sickness bags with the note "Thinking of you."

Oh, Gawd!!  ;D

With all the discussion around here, I am getting closerandcloser to buying the new MGM musicals box set.

I saw many of the films on late night television, and wouldn't mind seeing them again.

I remember seeing TWO WEEKS WITH LOVE and being most distressed that my lovely Nora Charles could be SO mean.

DR George,

Panasonic plasmas are among the tops in the industry, so you should have a good experience with your new one once it's in hand/home.

Congratulations! And call for help if you need it once you start setting it up.

I am still puzzled by a Musical Festival that wants to skimp on the Music!

I'm with you, Jack. I haven't stopped scratching my head since last summer.

So did I. I *NEVER* doubt Allison's dreams though others seem to all the time. I guess there would be no conflict if everyone took her word for it all the time.

As for Joe taking the deal, I smell trouble brewing big time. She's not in this just for the business opportunity.

Since I have nothing to watch in real time until 10 p.m., I'll be spending the day with the 2-disc set of THE GOLDEN COMPASS. I'll watch the movie this afternoon (didn't see it in theaters, nor have I read the books, so it's going to be my introduction to the scenario completely).

Tonight, I'll watch the second disc which is all bonus features.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention SHAMELESS, the British TV series I've been watching lately. My friend Sydney, herself a filmmaker, ADORES this series and said the first episode is the very best pilot she's ever seen. I rented it from Netflix and as soon as I saw that Paul Abbott was the writer, I KNEW. Wonderful writer! This series gives NEW MEANING to the term "dysfunctional." It's more to Sydney's taste than mine, but the characters, crazy as they are, really grow on you. Much of it is absolutely brilliant. Humor with depth and substance. Very memorable.

Highly recommended.

Re:  Paul Abbott.  I mentioned this some time ago, but I can't recommend his miniseries (soon to be a major Affleck motion picture, for better or worse), "State of Play" highly enough (can one split an adverb--well, I just did, so there).  One of the best political thrillers Betsy and I have ever seen (though, as usual, I guessed the denouement well before the end).

Yes, she's a stinker in the film (but VERY beautiful.)

I always thought her voice was SO refined - even in House of Wax...and what I lovely figure.

I guess Peter Lawford (with the claw right hand) had it in his contact that physical intimacy between them was to kept to the minimum - no kissing - because Phyllis' childhood polio and its physical effects on her made it difficult for him to be close to her.

And she didn't walk or run much in the show because of the limitations.  8)

DR JRand, did you catch the old Columbia studios musical CHA CHA CHA BOOM! on TCM the other day?

Just like those Columbia Twist movies but with the likes of Perez Prado and The Mary Kaye Trio instead. It looks like fun (I am burning it to DVDr as I type)

And when's that disgusting DA who's so transparently evil and slimy it's pathetic going to get his comeuppance? Everyone in the Phoenix judicial system by now must know what a creep he is!
