The auditions went well today.  The composer wanted to play the music for the people coming in today since they were all people he had worked with personally beforehand, so I had a very easy hour.  All I had to do was play their "own" songs.  Another great batch of actor-singers, and some great music.  -And I'm really liking the music from the show itself too.

Sherlock passed his Canine Good Citizen exam!!! :D  Everyone in the class passed.

As soon as the instructor said we all passed a woman walked up with her Golden Retriever for the next class.  I tried to get Sherlock's pinch back on knowing every week he wants to go play with this dog.  I wasn't fast enough and he dragged me three quarters of the way to the dog before I stopped him.  Thank goodness they didn't walk up during the test-so embarrassing.

Now my back, arms wrist, shoulder & neck hurt.  What a dog! ;D

Jane, I think next time you should get a little dog -- like a yorkie or something.

I spent a good chunk of the afternoon looking at and picking out some new eyeglass frames, as well as getting an eye examination.  The eye exam was fast and easy, and finding a new set of frames turned out to be bit easier than expected.  And a lot more expensive than I had originally planned.  ;)

I had a very friendly and helpful salesperson/consultant at the optical shop - in fact, I had two!  I started off trying some "basic" frames just find a good shape and general size, then they started pulling out a bunch of possibilities.  I must have tried at least 30 different frames.  Then "Helen" had an idea, and she went over to a separate display case, and brought back a couple of frames.  They all fit perfectly, and they all looked pretty cool on me too.  Price-wise, they weren't that bad either, so I picked a #1 and #2 pair - with the intent of going ahead and buying two pairs if I felt like it.  That was the "good news".

Then came the "bad news".  Since my prescription is on the high side, I had to get indexed lenses... Which, due to the style of my frames, actually cost just as much as the frames.  *If I wanted the super-high index lenses, they would have ended up costing almost twice as much as the frames.  Well...

I was still thinking of going ahead and buying two pairs of glasses, so I asked the guy what kind of deal they could work out for me.  He crunched some numbers, after which I basically went into sticker shock.  I mentioned some of the deals and coupons they had been advertising, and he re-crunched the numbers.  So... I still ended up spending a lot(!) more money than I had planned today, but come the end of next week, I will have two new pairs of eyeglasses - both titanium, one whole frame in dark brown, one half-frame in copper from EYEFUNC - and I managed to get a pair of standard frame prescription sunglasses with regular plastic lenses thrown in for free(!).

DR Jose, Sherlock got Tilapia Fish Jerky.  I got the satisfaction of my hard work paying off, plus I think I will treat myself to an Adavan tonight to relax my sore muscles. ;D

I really enjoy training classes.  Keith went to a few puppy classes and said-"that's it".

Oh...

While walking around the theatre district after dinner, I happened to spot a few Seelebritees:  Carrie Ann Inaba was attending A Chorus Line tonight, and Ben Brantley was going in to see In the Heights again.

What a full evening of viewing I've had tonight.

I began by watching a PSYCH episode that I had barely started this afternoon. It was the one where a man was convinced a ghost was haunting his house by moving furniture and doing even more dastardly things like trying to burn it down. Good episode and very funny.

Next, I put MY FAIR LADY into the Toshiba HD-DVD player and let it upconvert it to true maginficence. I picked and chose which numbers I wanted to watch, and every one of them was really beautiful looking.

The ABC shows which I watched "live" tonight were all at their best. I truly enjoyed every single one of them.

I started with UGLY BETTY. A very entertaining episode, and I literally though my HDTV was going to explode in the first few minutes with all of that supersaturated color. The show is always colorful, but this dream sequence really was something for the ages color-wise.

GREY'S ANATOMY had a very involving episode which I really enjoyed.

Of course, my enjoyment was fueled by the guest star performance of my heartthrob Jason O'Mara. He was part of a fascinating multipart storyline of injured people.

And, of course, LOST. Where to begin to describe all the surprises, shocks, thrills, and action that made up this episode?

What a night!

Back from a nice dinner with Jim. We went to the grand opening of a new restaurant in Keizer. Very fancy!

Jim had Phad Thai and I had Flying Trout.

Congratulations, Cilla, I only found out today that I have been saying and spelling it incorrectly as badmitten all my life.

I checked the spelling before I posted it. I've always called it badmitten too.  ;D

ANNIE was actually very good.  The performances were great, especially the Annie who was an understudy.  The sets were much better than a lot of them we get at the Orpheum.  The place was sold out and full of young girls.  I'm glad I went
