DR TCB-I do it all the time.  I don't take Sherlock with me everyday, instead we take him into town for a walk after my hike.  Where I would have gone, the park or the trail we take Sherlock, can be busy or quiet.  I never know.  My biggest danger walking anywhere around here is likely the wildlife (I spotted my first bear scat of the season on our road this weekend).  I admit I'm a bit more nervous walking around the lake since a woman was raped on New Years Day, however she was not in the area I go.  I walk the trail where I often see other hikers.

It comes down to the fact I have to go & so I choose the best options I have, nothing is completely safe.

Did you explain to them that they were coloring books?

I should start making dinner.  We purchased mini-portobella mushrooms at Costco & they need to be used up.  I'm going to make mushroom cutlets with them.  I usually use shitake.

Speaking of anguish, it is noted that DR Tomovoz has not posted here in 9 (count 'em NINE) days.

Mr. Oz told me that he would be away.

Yeah!  Just put me out on the porch of the HHW Group Home in a rocker next to DR MBarnum and I'm good to go.

Next to Mr. Barnum I am sure you would be.

MBarnum, lucky you liking all three candidates.  It will be interesting if you still feel that way once you do your research.

Do you plan to hand deliver your ballot at the last minute instead of mailing it?

I will fill it out tonight and then pop it into the mail.

*I just got to my friend's place in Los Feliz...  The flight to Long Beach was uneventful.  The Metro ride from Long Beach to Union Station was a lot faster than indicated on the web-site.  And my French Dip sandwich and coleslaw at Philippe's was soooooooooo good! :)

Just getting settled and stuff, and once I'm a bit more settled, I shall catch up and post more.

OH!

DR Jane - So... Was that "green sauce" you talked about some time ago possibly and "Avocado Sauce"?  When I walked by Olvera Street on the way to Philippe's, I saw the little taco stand, and their specialty is "taquitos with avocado sauce"  - only 2 for $3.00!  -Guess I'll have to give them a try while I'm here.  ;)

Anyone know what kind of aging process it is when one ages only 2 years in a 5-year time span?

I know it was a popular belief that one year in human years was equal to 7 dog years...

But is there a reverse where someone ages only 2 years in 5?

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for all of the lovey Birthday wishes!

I didn't know what kind of day I would have but it turned out to be wonderful.

First, my desk was covered in all kinds of "Over the Hill" things, like a gravestone, a hearing aid horn, at least 10 balloons, etc, etc....

I also had a crown which I had to wear all day.

At about three I was called to big meeting room and was suprised with a huge cake and a card with $$$!  It was a GREAT day!

And no one deserves it more!  Ah, the cake and the money, not the "Over the Hill" things.

Forgive me  but I won't post any photos of me because I have gotten so fat that I really don't want anyone to see me.  It seems like no matter how hard I try, I just pack more pounds on.

As soon as I get the chance, I will resize some of the photos of my desk and will post them this weekend.

I hope everyone is doing well.  I don't have much to tell.

I fell off the car this past weekend while I washing it and landed flat on my back but there was no damage.   To the car or myself.  :)  I learned that at age 50, one should pay the five dollars to have someone else do the car washing.  I'll never attempt it again.

Then I guess you have made your decision, for the primary anyway.  I still need to explore this more.  Plus there are other people to vote for other positions of office & I have no idea who these people are;D

I think the place was on the train station side, can't be sure.  It was on the left, by the wall, as you walked into the area.  I thought all they made were taquitos, could be wrong.  I didn't think it was an avacado sauce, I could be wrong & things could have changed.  Where was the stand.  It has been a long, long time since I've been there.

I'll be watching for your details :)

George was correct (as always)!  CAMELOT is only being shown on our PBS station's HD channel.  So, basically I am out luck.

DR Danise - You fell "off" your car?  WHOA!  In any case, I'm glad to hear that both you and your car are all right.  *And maybe you could use some of that birthday money for a proper car wash?  ;)
