DR George - did you calibrate your new system yourself, perhaps using the Disney DVD diagnostic?

I am curious about the new Zubrick's "helium" voice referenced in one of the reviews.

I was looking for a good "bodice ripper" illustration, but they seem to be in short supply!

San Francisco sculpted in cookware

Beijing-based artist Zhan Wang sculpted the San Francisco cityscape out of pots, pans, graters, and other kitchenware. The piece is part of a new exhibition of Wang's work at San Francisco's Asian Art Museum running until May 25.

This is like molasses.  Is anyone else having this problem?

This happens to me a LOT!  And in all the browsers that I have, but mostly in Internet Explorer, and only on my home computer.  My work computer NEVER slows down like this. :-\

The TV that I got has some presets.  I just used one of those that wasn't too bright.  My DVD for "The Incredibles" is somewhere in a box in my garage.  I don't know which one.  Someday, I'll unpack it.

OH!

While I was walking around Union Station yesterday, it turned out that "CSI: NY" was filming there...

*I've been to the MetroNorth station in Poughkeepsie, and, well... That's definitely not Poughkeepsie.  ;)

But the question is have you ever picked your feet in Poughkeepsie?*

I downloaded some Badongo video files that I want to burn to DVD, but they are in a format that my system doesn't recognize.  If any DR has a program that can convert them and can direct me to a site to download said program, I would appreciate it.....but it ISN'T a life or death situation.

DR SINGDAW thanks for the link to that SOUTH PACIFIC recording video. I preordered by Cd and even with shipping it was only $12.97.

Good morning, all!

DR Jose, I hope you had no trouble wrapping your lips about that piece of cake.

DR Michael Shayne, the "Theme from MOULIN ROUGE (Where is Your Heart)" was an adaptation of the song "sung" by ZsaZsa Gabor in the film.

DR BK, great reviews! I did notice something funny in the review from EDGE Los Angeles:
Shannon Cudd, as the Bunson’s slutty teenage daughter, Donna, is funny enough as she goes from late night lip sucking sessions with his [her???] disinterested would-be beatnik boyfriend Rod (Dimas Diaz) to unexpected savior to her family.

Today, more brain surgery.

Soups? Mushroom, split pea, vegetable beef, matzoh ball

TOD: Perhaps, since DearReaderLaura DR is busy today, she won't mind if I reprint her soup recipe from 2003:

Unseemly Soup with HAM CHUNKS AND CHEESE SLICES:

1 T olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 T flour
salt, pepper
fresh chopped basil from the garden
1 1/4 cup milk
2 c. Velveeta Cheese (cut in slices, of course)
Ham Chunks
3 boiled potatoes, in chunks

Saute garlic, onion and oil. Stir in flour until flour is absorbed. Stir in milk and cook and stir until thickenend and bubbly. Add cheese and stir until melted. Season with salt, pepper and basil. Add ham chunks and potatoe (oh, a Dan Quayle reference) chunks. Add more cheese if you want it thicker or more milk if you want it thinner.
