DR MBARNUM - I give up, what two stars of ROBOT MONSTER will be in Memphis?  The two kids?  I thought everyone else had kicked the bucket or slunk away in embarrassment.

I hope it's not a deperate bid to attract George Nader's eye; his erotomania is boundless.

Did you ever get ahold of Jay?

I left a message, but...  Hopefully, we'll touch base in person - even if just by phone - before I fly back tomorrow afternoon.

The first batch of books is now sold (to a nearby store, for credit).  If anyone wants to see the new list, let me know.

I had better not look right now.

This is like my local supermarket.  I find a product I like a lot and find that others apparently like it, too, because it always disappears off the shelf long before the "house brand" does.  And suddenly it's dropped.

The explanation is always the same:  It didn't sell as well as other brands.  I always tell the manager that it would have sold as well if they'd ever stocked it as well...in the same quantities...because it was always selling out and the house brands never seem to have a dent in them.  The managers, to a person, always glaze over and thank me for shopping Safeway.

I  have the same problem whenever I ask why they don't carry the "cube" (that 24 can box) in Diet 7-up or Diet Sierra Mist.  I always get the same answer, "Because they don't sell."  Of course they don't sell you cretin, because you don't carry them.  I get very angry that The Cube goes on sale for $5.99, but I have to pay $4.99 a 12 pack because I drink diet soda.

I watched a motion picture I'd TIVOd, and am currently watching a home grown DVD of Bounce, but I'll save that for later and watch something else.

A friend of mine who is a rabid(!) Diet Cherry Coke fan always complained to his local supermarket about their lack of his favorite soft drink on their shelves.  The management told him that the local Coca-Cola distributor did not distribute that product in his area.  Well... After a call to the local distributor, he never wanted for Diet Cherry Coke again.  ;)

TCB - What Larry said.  Also, these are the same rules that gave posthumous Tonys to T.S. Eliot for CATS.

Because the show has the lyrics for the songs he wrote for the Disney film.
 Good night!

Larry, I am well aware that Ashman wrote the lyrics for the film.  That is why I was confused on how he could be nominated for Original Score Written for the Theatre.

Songs written for a Broadway musical can not be considered as an Original Score for the film, so I was wondering why it didn't work that way in reverse.  Apparently it is a stupid question, but if I had known the answer I wouldn't have asked.

Craig's dog is not always friendly to other dogs & people.  For once this trait came in handy.  Craig was walking Yogi when a young Pit Bull got away from its owner & charged across the street at them, and not to make friends.  Craig wasn't sure what to do when Yogi flattened the dog ;D until the owner ran over apologizing.  I'm pleased to say neither dog was hurt and most of all that Craig wasn't hurt. :)

hello peoples.  I have done somthing to my neck that has caused a radiating pain down down my neck into my right shoulder and down my right arm all the way to the elbow whenever I turn my head to the right...

my strings must be tangled

meanwhile my car has decided to cost me money--- the air conditioning compressor  gear has seized and it sounds as if I have a fork caught in the garbage disposal.  My Gecko mechanical breakdown policy willonly pay for  a refurbished replacement... some nonsense about a 13 year old car with more than 208,000 miles on it not being worth a new part.... but since the part in question s is waaaaaaaay down under the sepertine belt and since the repair involves emptied the  air conditioning and then replenishing it with whatever A/C coolant is now legal and available I decided to pay the difference between the old and the new part out of pocket on top of my deductible

oh well what's money for if not to give away... saving for your old age or child's college or eating food is over rated that's what I always say...

One of the funny lines from the Academy Award winning Original Screenplay "Pillow Talk":

"With $200,000 my grandfather cornered the market in wheat and caused a panic in Omaha - now you can't even scare songwriters with it."

"Well, that's inflation for you."

And yet i feel "Lover Come Back" has withstood the passage of time even better than "Pillow Talk."

Even though some people suggest they are the same screenplay, essentially.  :)

I had a full evening of viewing delights. I am within three episodes of finishing season six of JAG. I've enjoyed the episodes, but I don't think the season is quite as good as season five (even thouogh at the time, the ratings were higher for season six).

Trying to get Harriet (Kerri Turner) in on a case of her own (even though she isn't a lawyer) was pretty weak.

Actually, he won two Tonys: book and score.

I enjoyed NCIS tonight.

I was afraid Palmer was going to be killed, so it was a relief when he didn't end up dead at the end of the episode.
