While walking around, we also stopped into Sweet Heart Coffee on 8th Ave., right at the top of the West Village. It's basically a hole-in-the-wall place, but they feature a good assortment of Argentinian empanadas (the goat cheese and pumpkin is a favorite), as well as an assortment of baked goods and other treats. The portions are huge, and the prices are extremely reasonable: you can get two empanadas and a freshly brewed cup of coffee for $5.00. -Or a "Drop Dead Delicious" Cookie (chocolate chips, chocolate chunks, peanut butter chips and crumble Oreos in a 6-inch cookie!), a generously filled
alfajor, and a frosted short bread cookie all for just $4.00.
