Among the many things I uncovered while cleaning of the clutter that has piled up are:

1 and 2 years old shopping lists

Christmas cards from the late Cal Bolder and his wife.

Business cards gotten on various trips to Los Angeles

Photos of Dog Bosco

And lots of paperclips.

I have not even showered yet today...I may need to remedy that before I go to Walmart.

Well, I think I am going to head out for a bit, go forage for some dinner, and work in another walk too.

Why?  No one else seems to shower before they go to Wal-Mart?

Time to get dinner moving towards the table.

One of the latest deliveries from Jessica's Biscuit (a freebie, in fact) is James McNair's Build a Better Burger, featuring recipes from the annual Sutter Home "Build a Better Burger" contest.  It's inspired me to take some sweet Italian sausage and try making burgers that aren't the traditional moo-cow stuff.

The results should be different, at least.

Jose, the way you did that quote, it looks like I'm saying that I went there.  I have never done Oakland.  (Their loss.)

But let me say that it was great!  The cast was very good.  I don't remember very much about the original reading that was done there two years ago, so I can't really compare.  But I thoroughly enjoyed this. :D

 :D  Not that I'm surprised.

I thought then and I think now that THE GREAT RACE works so much better, has better jokes, and it's shorter. MAD WORLD has a bigger cast of comedians, but I don't think they're always given inspired things to do.

I'm with you, THE GREAT RACE by a huge win!

We shop a few times a year at Sam's Club (but I'm thinking about changing to Costco).  I like to buy things like laundry supplies, bath soap, and paper goods in the quantity you can get there so we don't run out often.  DR Jose - I also like the pecan halves and Ghirardelli chocolate chips for cooking!

I don't think Costco sells the Ghiradelli & their laundry supplies might be different.  Before switching I suggest giving the store a trial run.

I have been having problems with my wrists & know I need to use the computer less.  I’ve considered taking a break from the computer for awhile.  Now I know I must.

This morning I did one of my usual klutzy stupid things, and I can’t blame Sherlock.  While hiking I went zipping across the last series of stones over the creek & didn’t notice the 2nd one was wet & slippery.  Down I went.  When I pulled my face out of the water (thank goodness it landed in the water) I looked to see what I had done to my hands & wrists.  I landed on the stones with my palms up.  My left wrist is a little sore, like much of the rest of me.  The right hand & wrist isn’t feeling too good & is somewhat swollen. So far it isn’t bad & I’m hoping tomorrow is a better day, not worse.

Still…when I sign off tonight I will be limiting my computer use to emails & work, nothing else for several weeks.  It is difficult to stay away from all you Dear Readers, however I’m going to try very hard to make it until the end of June.

Since I’ll be gone, HAVE A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR ARNOLD M BROCKMAN!!

I just wasted two hours and eleven minutes  suffered through  finished watching John Doyle's production of COMAPNY.  I thought the casting of this production was nearly flawless from Raul Esparza as Bobby down to all three of the girl friends.  Well, okay, with one exception, and that was Joanna.  Of course, Joanna is a hard character to like in any production, and it is very difficult to find anyone who can get away with being Elaine Stritch, other than Elaine Stritch.

I hated Mr. Doyle's direction of the piece, and I hated Mr. Doyle's conceit (a good choice of word) of giving the cast instruments to play; even more in this prodcution than in his SWEENEY TODD.  There was absolutely no justification for it.  Perhaps next, Mr. Doyle will have the cast start building the set while doing the show.  He can start with only a ghost light at first preview and go from there.  When the set is completely finished AND painted, the show will have to close.

DR Jeanne-I was under the impression you were advised to hire someone to stage your home & figured you had done a nice job putting your house in order all by yourself.
I agree with you, we have never depersonalized our homes.  I’m also a rat pack.  If we were to put this house up for sale I can look around and know exactly what I would have to pack away, and there would still be plenty of personal stuff sitting out.  For one, my rock collection would get packed away.  It would also be hidden from Keith so he couldn’t toss it, which he tried to do with every move ;D

If I’m up to it, I’m going to begin some spring cleaning soon.
